How Many Tickets Per Draw Are Necessary To Win?
I said one because it only takes one to win, but to increase your chances of winning only 5.This gives you a chance to have money to play again, which also increases your chances of winning.I read a lot about lottery jackpots across the states, most million dollar jackpot winners pick 5 quick picks, its rare for someone to win huge jackpot choosing numbers.Someone wonrecently after buying 50 qp.and another winner of millions of dollars choosing his own, but if you read lotto stories you will find

Do you know anybody...
You might have to do some searching for the old stories. No big winner here lately. When I do, my story would be...well I went to the store bought the ticket and that night I checked it online and discovered that I won. That would be my story. :)

New member in Lottery Post
Welcome! Glad to hear you're enjoying the stories about winners. They will continue! The latest story this morning is about a not-so-happy winner, but should be an interesting read.

How was the lottery like back in the day?
There was things called newspapers and telephones. The newspapers had sections with the results I think they still do, USA Today has an all states section. You could also call in a get results which I think you still can. As far as winners as stories go you only heard of the state of the winner of large jackpots but that was about it, something to be said about the good old days, it was more local.

Help!! Need winning lottery advice
About five times a year a total stranger comes to LP to share a story about how they or a family member are being cheated out a share of a lottery jackpot. They or the family member never had the winning tickets but they feel connected to the person who does because they worked in the same place, lived in the same neighborhood or once drink at the same bar as the local winner. None of the stories ever go public because they don't have any merit, they are just someone's dream of making some eas

State due for PB win
I hope that 10 people win and they all really need the money. Maybe a family who lost their home or someone who is sick and can't pay his medical bills. Those are the stories I like to hear. I don't care where they live as long as I don't read that the winner is going to keep her job at Target. There should be some kind of law where people like that are automatically declared unfit to claim their prize.

Remaining anonymous if you win jackpot?
After doing lot of search, I found that only few states allow winner to remain anonymous. But it is wise to remain anonymous (in my opinion and also after reading lot of stories). I have read about forming a trust (in which all 3 parties are you) and which can claim prize on your behalf. What are the options that come to mind of LP members about how to remain anonymous?

Jack Whittaker does it again.
This guy is amazing. It's sad, I think those of us who haven't won would like to see better stories from those that have won. It's something for us to strive for, this guy is a joke, the biggest jackpot ever for the biggest jerk ever. NICE.... http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/12/01/lottery.winner.ap/index.html

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
i definitely would not want to play a lottery in a state which uses computers...i've read the horrors stories about indiana and i would bet anything there is something amiss there especially when you have a whole state with only one winner on pick four a day that sounds way off like they are controlling the amount of money won.....
