I'm surprised that...........
I'm surprised no one mentioned Jack Whittaker's website for those people looking for some easy money from a big lottery jackpot winner. From the stories at his website, he hasn't given out much yet, but he and his family are taking requests. I would bet that a book about the many requests could be a best seller. If you plan to give it to the needy, cash or annunity really only limit how fast you can get rid of it.RJOh

Big Game can claim annonymously?
I have read stories published by the Maryland Lottery in which the winner was able to keep their identity anonymous. I don't know if it's an official policy, however. I don't believe any of the other Big Game states have the ability to keep your identity private.-Todd

Anyone else hate that some states won't let winners remain anonymous?
What part of the lottery knowing who claims a prize even when only the name of the winner's trust is released to the public is confusing you? What the lottery knows about the winner and what the lottery tells the public about the winner are completely different things. They never release the winner's address, phone number, or social security number, but I assume you don't think that means that they don't know what they are. There are several states that don't allow winners to remain anonym

If the tabloids covered lotteries...
Have some fun. Let's say the tabloids wrote lottery stories. Make a few up. This would be one: JACKPOT WINNER SUED BY ANOTHER PLAYER WHO SAYS THE WINNER PLAYED MY NUMBERS A lottery player in one state claimed that a player in another state won the Powerball by playing the first person's numbers - who had forgotten to play them.

watch out for NYS retailers Some are scamming you big time
the store was located on 101 ave and 86 street on the corner. It was known as Peters because the man that owned the building was named peters and he had a store there in his hey day named Peters. so we still called it Peters but that was not the name after he leased the store but kept the building. The new owners were middle eastern and the clerks name who was running the scam was named Jeff. The 2 actual owners i do not remember their names. But that was the location. The biggest mistake people make is:
He didn't say that birthday combinations generally have more than one winner. He said they have a greater chance of having multiple winners. You've got a list of 17 drawings with only birthday numbers, and 6 had jackpot winners. For that sample drawings with only birthday numbers were won 35% of the time. What percentage of drawings that include numbers greater than 31 have a jackpot winner? Your data also shows that 1 out of 6 drawings with at least 1 winner had a 2nd winner. That's 16.67

A Lottery Curse
Today I was I was web searching success and failure stories as it relates to Lottery Winners. Many of you know the usual suspects, J. Whitaker, D. Edwards, etc., etc., etc. I was struck to know that the common refrain from those who faulter, stumble and waste all of their winnings all commonly reference that the Lottery Winnings were a Curse. The Devil made me do it pitch when all of your efforts lead you to failure. I was curious, in light of such a large lottery (Mega Millions) brimming to

The single most inportant decision for a JP winner
From the Illinois Lottery Lottery Winners' Handbook: The single most important decision you make with your newfound wealth will not be how to spend or invest it. It will be who you hire to help manage it. Sudden money makes you an instant candidate to hire a financial adviser. For starters, you are likely handling much more than you have ever had at your disposal before. More important, you want to make sure your once-in-a-lifetime good fortune becomes a rest-of-your-lifetime benefit. Y
