Taking Lump sum vs Daily/weekly prize
No, unfortunately I haven't had any sort of substantial win that large but if I ever do, I would definitely rather take the lump sum if given the choice. That way, I have all of my money up front and can invest it as I see fit. Therefore, I am earning the interest on my money (don't want the other company holding my money to get the interest as is the case of the daily/weekly/fortnightly/monthly option) and can still set myself/family up for life.

How much do you "Owe," in this Lottery situation?
If one has to borrow money to play, one should not play. Legally, you owe this person just the amount of money you borrowed. Unless it is an emergency, I do not loan money. If someone did borrow money and win the lottery, I just do not have that entitlement or expectation that they owe me any of their winnings.

Book: Money for Nothing
Money for Nothing: One Man's Journey Through the Dark Side of Lottery Millions by edward Ugel For the better part of a decade, Edward Ugel spent his time closing deals with lottery winners, making a lucrative and legitimate if sometimes not-so-nice living by taking advantage of their weaknesses . . . weaknesses that, as a gambler himself, he knew all too well. How much do you "Owe," in this Lottery situation?
In this scenario, I couldn't play without his help, but if I had not bought the ticket there would not be a jackpot win. Yup. If you had to borrow money in order to play you only won because they loaned you the money. As I see it, the difference between winning only because they loaned you money and only getting a slice of pizza because they loaned you money is the butterfly effect. Maybe you wouldn't have won if any single thing before winning had been even a little bit different. Still, i

What is the "Lottery Bible"?
Exactly. Pick 3 is a game I have loved for 30 years but it is a money pit. There is no way I could spend the amount of money required to play the gazillion combos listed in these Lottery Bible type posts.

Numbers submitting Cutoff Time
That's been a big pain in my behind for years. In this age of instant communications, Bank A will tell you it takes a couple of days to move your money from them to Bank B. (YOUR Bank). Really??? In this day and age of FINTECH ? Ask your banker this question - Have you ever heard of Zelle? Zelle moves money from your account in your bank to whomever you want it to go to's account in their bank, and Zelle does it INSTANTLY . (It's a bank account to bank account transfer) And without a FEE I might

what is the very first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
When I was younger I was in it to win it. As you get older you realize that throwing more money at the lottery is not getting you closer. I've played continuously, played on certain days, pared my plays, and now play when I feel like it. I see more money to spend on other things now. Like I'll buy lunch for me, and my nurse with the money that would otherwise go to the lottery. And I get more smiles, thank yous and hugs (a few pecks on the cheek that don't hurt a bit) than i ever got from b
