Texas Lottery suspends sales of Monopoly Millionaires' Club game
While I don't think the lottery playing public is stupid, many players just don't want to spend a lot of time and effort on understanding and playing any given game. IMHO, that's why QP's are the choice of the vast majority of players. QP's are fast and easy. People buy whatever it is they want at the convenience store and tell the clerk Gimme a quick pick for tonite's lotto and they're out the door and on their way. This MMC game is way too complicated. People understand raffles. Wh

Connecticut man sues friend for share of lottery prize
A Connecticut man is suing a friend for a share of a $1 million lottery jackpot. Armando Martins of Trumbull claims that he and Nuno Nascimento of Bridgeport had an agreement to buy lottery tickets every week and to share if they won. Martins says he gave his friend $75 each week to buy tickets. On April 1, Martins said he only has $74 for his share. The lawsuit says that evening one of the tickets that Nascimento bought at a local grocery store was a $1 million Powerball winne

Connecticut lottery agents protest cut in commissions
I agree, Todd. One percent equals only a penny per ticket for online games; not a significant savings to the lottery or to the state, but it represents one-fifth of a retailer's income from online sales. Scratch-offs account for a greater percentage of sales in Connecticut (compared to their online games), so tickets costing $2.00 to $20.00 or more will really take a bite. The scary part is that once even one state passes such legislation, most other state lotteries will jump on the

FLASH: Tennessee Lottery audit won't investigate drawing errors
...A similar situation happened in Connecticut back around 1987-89. The Ctlottery was running their drawings on superstitious days or dates and got caught in a terrible fix. It was a Friday the 13th in May of that year and the number was 513 and lotto players from Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and of course Connecticut played 513 and as a result...The Connecticut Lottery had to borrow $80 + Million Dollars from Chase Manhattan Bank to payoff on 513 . That wasn't the bad part. Th

The Connecticut Lottery Corp.'s governing board voted Thursday to hire Gregory Smith, acting director of the Illinois Lottery, as its new CEO in hopes of stability after nearly two years of turmoil, recriminations and investigations at the quasi-public agency with a $1.2 billion annual budget. Washington man finds winning lottery ticket worth $2 million in his car window
It's a very common thing for people to put a lottery ticket in their car and forget all about it. My nephew threw one in the cup holder on the console of his car. Fortunately for him he saw it the day after he bought it. Good thing he did.. it was a $17,000 winner. A guy in Connecticut put a winning one million dollar Connecticut Superdraw raffle ticket in his wallet and forgot about it. He cleaned out his wall two months after the drawing and found out he won a million dollars. G5

Idaho woman wins $390,000 lottery prize after playing same numbers for 27 years
Congratulations! Now someone explain this lottery to me. It started in Connecticut in 2009, and wasn't available outside New England for sometime and Idaho later on according to Wikpedia. So my point is she may have played the same #'s, just not on this lottery the entire time. Personally stopped playing about a year ago in KY and Season Ticket from MA. What is great about LFL is it is not a RNG and still drawn in Connecticut.
