Alabama reporter documents experience buying Mississippi lottery tickets
Give them and IGT time to iron out the bugs. Before PB MM they had over $7.6 million added to the state coffers. I do find it tragic, even sad that things are appearing to be in such disrepair in Mississippi. Will say we rented a car from Biloxi to New Orleans and roads were in great shape and exits all had modern LED streetlamps for what that's worth.

Nearly $9 million of Mississippi Lottery tickets sold in first 6 days
Sounds like the Mississippi lottery is off to a good start. I might have to slip across the border from Louisiana to give it a try. They have some good scratchers so far.

Nearly $9 million of Mississippi Lottery tickets sold in first 6 days
The Mississippi Lottery has winning ticket scanners at the counter to check your tickets. All you have to do is scratch off the bar code on the bottom left of the scratcher ticket, and scan each individual ticket you buy, to see if you won anything. You don't even have to scratch off any numbers on the ticket, just the bar code, and scan it.

....and to think that the Mississippi politicians were saying that the lottery would bring in....wait for it : $40 Mil THE FIRST YEAR. Well the players have turned that projection on it's head. As Little Richard once said Whoa, you make me scream like a white woman in church.

Retailers preparing for launch of Mississippi Lottery
So, the Mississippi Lottery is starting off with scratch - offs. I'm wandering if this lottery will be smart enough to install a few scanners people can use for them selves before they head to a clerk or check out counter. I hope we hear about it here on the Lottery Post if it is big wins. So, we're at the On the mark get set , Go stage. Thank's Todd for the up date.

Mississippi Lottery officials anticipate rush of sales from West Alabama
Too many Alabama politicians in the pocket of the Poarch Band of Creeks is good business for the Mississippi lottery. They'll probably have some clever ads targeting Alabama players and poking fun at Alabama lawmakers.

Mississippi Lottery targets Dec. 1 startup date
I'm just reporting what I read and the World casino directory says Mississippi has 35 casinos. Where did you read where they only have 3 to 5? And where are you getting your Vegas information from because there are 45 casinos just on the strip . I read where there 104 casinos within the Las Vegas city limits and 334 in the state of Nevada. You're really missing the point on starting a lottery with just scratch-offs in a state with so many other gaming options. It's not like 40 years ago wh

Mississippi Lottery targets Dec. 1 startup date
Finally! Now I can buy from both Mississippi AND Louisiana! One PB, one MM and one state Lotto for 20 draws is my usual ticket purchase; $10 weekly is cheap enough entertainment; now I suppose I ll have to increase my budget!

Mississippi hires experienced executive for its new lottery
They'll probably start with just Powerball and Mega Millions, but I think they'll add 3-ball, 4-ball, and a 5/39 game. Given the tendency of surrounding states, I think Mississippi will use RNGs--and I hope I am wrong about that--for daily 3-ball and 4-ball games that will expand to 13 drawings per week by 2026 and a nightly 5/39-type game.
