I always see it as the more you could win long term the more you could give locally or nationally over time. I live a pretty simple life and would travel to make wonderful memories and help locally as I see the country. Would definitely claim through a trust or llc to keep it anonymous as possible.

$50 is nothing compared to Texas who has the $100 scratch off, that top prize is $20M. It looks like the Massachusetts $50 ticket is a better deal with a $25M top prize. I don't see myself buying either but it does give people options. My state just got the $50 scratch off a few months ago.

Unfortunately North Dakota is one of them, considering that state spends the least amount of money on the lottery. This is not true, California has won the lottery jackpot 13 times where as Indiana is #1 with 39 Jackpot wins
