$1.25 BILLION: Mega Millions jackpot set to deliver unimaginable wealth
With higher gasoline prices already on the rise again, people are leery of spending money on Mega Millions tickets. Plus it's been rolling for so long now, people are tired of spending money chasing it, and not even getting any lower tier wins to make it worthwhile.

One ticket sold in California wins $1.08 billion Powerball jackpot
Yeah it is wild how some states have never had a powerball or mega millions jackpot winner. Unfortunately North Dakota is one of them, considering that state spends the least amount of money on the lottery. Massachusetts spends the most money on the lottery and has had 6 lottery jackpot winners. Many people have been complaining that California always wins the jackpots. This is not true, California has won the lottery jackpot 13 times where as Indiana is #1 with 39 Jackpot wins

$875 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges on rollover
As for me, I would gladly pay taxes on the Powerball Jackpot and Mega Millions jackpot. The money i would receive is more than enough to keep my bank account fat happy. All you people complaining about the jackpot being taxed, it is still more money than you have now, be grateful for the win.

Michigan man wins $200K Powerball prize after playing his kids' birthdays numbers
While most parents see their kids as lucky charms, this dad has the proof to back it up. Michigan resident James Allen is up $200,000 after using his children's birthdays as lottery numbers and winning. Allen told the Michigan Lottery that he first believed he had only won $50,000. However, he soon realized the prize money was four times that. The Powerball's Power Play had multiplied his winnings. I checked my ticket and went to bed thinking I had won $50,000 because I forgot about the

Single mother who won $6 million in lottery opens up about the good and bad of winning millions
As many have said, living in poverty is a type of trauma. One can't have significant instability insecurity in almost every area of one's life and not expect to have it influence one's relationship with money when that money becomes suddenly overwhelmingly available. There can be overcompensation (buying up everything they come across because they couldn't before), or undercompensation (being a hoarder or becoming miserly because they're so terrified of losing what they now have). Editorial: Study of lottery winners still receiving food stamps is flawed but raises good points
Although I too cant imagine asking a group of strangers to give me money, there have been numerous cases of Pastors or Bishops that started their own non-denominational Christian churches that have managed to enrich themselves by asking their congregations to donate to various causes. I'm aware of one Bishop that fell behind on the car payments for the Cadillac Escalade he drove. He told the congregation If you love your Pastor, then you need to donate $25 per month to pay for his Escalade.

$925 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot nears billion-dollar milestone
How much is enough? I'll be darned if I know! I've asked myself that very same question. I know someone who I think (but I really dont know) has more money than they can spend, yet they look to grow their wealth. I know that when they meet someone for the first time that they think has more money than they do it depresses them. I don't blame you with wanting to take the path of least resistance. There is a price to pay being wealthy. Granted it's a nice problem to have, but having great wea

$875 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges on rollover
What's the appeal to lottery? it is a cheap, and simple solution to fix a lot of big problems in one's life .:) [unless, your wife dibs 50% of your money ] I think the lottery people should take 25% cut of the jackpot only, give 25% back to players, then beef up those second, third, fourth... tier winnings when the jackpot is hit (after all it's people's money, not lottery people's money).
