He chose anonymity and is still anonymous. The issue is that he told his baby mama and thought that an NDA would be enough to keep his win confidential from family he didn't want knowing. He also should have had everyone he planned to give money to sign an NDA.
But still, point taken. If even with anonymity you can have this many headaches then no anonymity is an even greater detriment.
