tennessee couple comes forward and Dan Bilzerian
So I finally found out who CA lottery winner was and I will be honest. What a jackass and so much history about Dan. He lives lavish lifestyle, arrested for something alleging a porn star, his dad was a wall st tycoon, etc. He was a poker professional player and can do what he pleases. This guy basically told everyone to go shove it. Now he is more richer. So basically he is the younger version of hugh hefner. Instagram acct has been something else. The tennessee couple this family s

Finally, one's growing!
There is a term in poker called pot odds that is a justification for making a call when you don't have the best hand but have a good draw opportunity. The odds of drawing that card are exactly the same and with pot odds you are comparing how much it cost you to call to the size of the pot. In MM terms I suppose that buying $10 worth of tickets when the jackpot is $100 million is better pot odds than when it's $15 million, but unless you win, it's irrelevant. When people say they only p

I went to PA to celebrate the end of Lucky for Life
Today was a very interesting day. First I stopped at the A P where I work. A woman bought a NY Raffle to Riches ticket. All such tickets are printed with CASH VALUE , which isn't necessary. Then I drove to the Port Jervis area. In New Jersey I played $5 of Pick-6 Lotto. In recent years, Pick-6 players didn't have to choose cash or annuity unless they won, but, apparently, New Jersey has gone back to requiring Pick-6 players to choose when playing. Next I went into Pennsylvania. After I got i

Tntea Hits Keno for $250,000.00
DoubleDown, I know what you're saying but the idea of the prediction board is similar to online poker games where you are not playing with real money. You are testing your methods and wits with hundreds of other players and with no loss of real money to anyone. It's practice for the real thing...with an accounting of your results. If someone got a Royal Flush in one of those games would you say their win didn't count because it wasn't real money?

Picking numbers for MM and PB
Good morning everyone. I just had a question about what kind of strategy goes into your minds picking numbers. I am an economics teacher in Shanghai and mostly play poker and do sports betting. Just recently getting into playing the lotto, and specifically these two. I was wondering how many people play just the QP or actually put in their own numbers. And for those that do pick your numbers what kind, if any of strategy do you put into it. For me, I do birthday numbers, Notre Dame footb

Why you Will Never win Mega or Powerball
I agree with you and I've discussed this on LP before. I realize that the Lottery states that the pre-tests are strictly for security purposes, but I don't approve of them. If they keep changing ballsets and weighing/measuring the balls, then pre-tests should not be necessary to keep the game fair and random. I mean, even if a ball pops up 3 draws in a row, it doesn't mean the results should be discarded. I don't think they are tampering with the balls, but I don't like the idea that someo

Pot Size Prediction?
This is one of those unique threads where everybody's post has some merit. My opinion is there's no way the guy wasn't entitled to his full share - For those other people in the pool it came down to crying over spilt milk. Every drawing is a new start, there's no retro in lotto pools. Just sounds like a bunch of opportunist degenerates trying to recover their previous losses. As for the lotto odds and jackpot amounts, in poker this is called pot odds , separate from the odds of mak

Why Quick Picks win...Hint: It's *NOT* what you think, folks!
Although I play my own numbers every week, I also buy QPs once in a while and agree that many times the numbers don't follow any type of logical sequence. However, I believe when we are dealing with games with odds exceeding 1:140 million or even the state lottery games with odds over 1:20 million, there ARE NO logical number sequences. I mean, if out of over 100 million possible combinations only 6 balls are drawn, the so-called experts are spitting into the wind. If you were playing Blackja

Arrgghh! I Marked the PowerBall Ticket Wrong!
Re: Game shows, many mooons ago Ernie Kovacs had a game show called Take A Good Luck. For all such shows that have came and gone since then, I still think it was one of the hardest ever- one night the clue was this: A cowboy is in a saloon in the old West, someone threw a playing card in the air, and the cowboy shot it. That was the clue- the answer was: Eddie Rickenbacker, flying ace. If you looked real close the playing card thrown in the air was an ace. That was one tough game
