Lottery state chart/anonymity and claimants
The NH information is correct. NH already made it fairly easy to stay anonymous by using a trust, but the woman signed her own name on the ticket. Many lotteries say they're required by law to release information about winners, but in NH that was just the lottery's interpretation of requirements under the state's open records law and not a law that actually says lottery winner's names have to be released. IIRC the PA lottery allowed a winner to remain anonymous based on the ruling in the NH c

Should I report this error or not?
I'd say that RJ's idea sounds like a paranoid delusion, but it would certainly be possible. Remember the recent LP news story about the $33M lottery winner in Canada having to go to court in spite of turning in a signed winning ticket because another player claimed he bought lottery tickets all over town and implied the winner was in cahoot with a clerk who actually stole the ticket from him. Why Did The Winners Of March 25, 2011 MEGA MILLIONS Have A $7 Dollar Ticket With 7 Lines?
It's easy, a court of law will verify it: You put in your money, you get a share back, you don't put in your money, you are SOL. I think people take their cases to court hoping a jury will have similar feelings to those expressed by many here that the winners won so much so where is the harm in them having to share their winnings with co-workers even if they didn't contribute to the cost of tickets.

Mass Cash News
With regard to those of us in my pool, you're presupposing a few things that may or may not happen. I do agree that getting tied up in court is one thing that could happen, but I still don't know if The Mass Lottery can even handle or will allow a group subscription. If they don't, then the pool wont be playing Mass Cash. If The Mass Lottery does allow it, should they cut checks very soon after a big win, any court battles that ensue would be the problem of the individual member of the pool
