Lottery corruption
The Mass and NY Lotteries offer various scratch games (as well as two Mass online games) which force top prize winners to receive their winnings over X years, plus games with lifetime prizes.

well i just got back from realizing why i cut way back on buying. just went through 11 GR and 1 $25 ticket and my return was: out of 7 GR my return was 20 dollars, the other 4 from a different roll yielded a 25 dollar winner, that I bought the losing 25 dollar ticket with. This is why i limit the money i give to fla lottery these days. They claim the integrity of the game is first and foremost, how can that be with the commissioner is/was lacking integrity, i bet the corruption runs deep.

LUCKI - Thanks for mentioning Florida Lottery Chief steps down. This is a MUST read for all of us. Corruption, store owners and clerks winning tickets and more. You're right - $500 wins on Gold Rush are not in line with published odds. They're all crooks !!!

So, I will write a book one day about the corruption around the individual state level tickets and accounting practices, but yes this is a remaining loophole in a lot of state lotteries. The tickets are not deactivated out of the system out of the excuse they are left activated at a book level to ensure people who bought the original tickets have a chance to cash them in. The simple solution for them would be to scratch them and scan them out to ensure prizes were de-listed, however this can lea

Indiana Scratch-Off Thread
You obviously didn't read the post and play us for stupid by saying it's okay. Also, all you are doing is analyzing top prizes remaining per a percentage of tickets which can be done easily by just visiting the site. Trying to legitimize theft with a blanket statement of it's ok it happens everywhere nothing to see here does not sit well with me. Can you tell me how many states close games with 3/3 top prizes remaining after selling almost half the tickets? There distribution system allows them

Miami Heat + Orlando Magic (FLA Lottery $5)
Anyone else not surprised by this ? The lottery KNOWS darn well where and when they send their jacpots tickets. They might not know the exact store ( well probably do as I read that Indiana corruption story ) but you would have to be foolish to think they dont know the vicinity of where the jackpots are.

Any tips on scratch offs
Cash Only: which game? I know they have had one in the past, but I can't think of one running currently. Lottogenie: that would definately make more sense from a business point of view, no doubt about it. However, if there was anyone that knew where the big tickets were being placed, that would lead to so much corruption, not to mention breaking a few lottery laws. That would skew the tickets odds and be unfair to the smaller towns, if that could happen. As logic has it though, it is true that
