Online got me into this mess, Can it get me out?
This addiction is a very strong force, I have dealt with it since Tn got the lottery. I am scratch off free for almost a week now. I wasn't even sure if I could go in a store like a normal person and just make a normal purchase. But thanks be to God I can, it is a much better feeling than winning on a scratch off, because I have won something greater, a little more control over my mind and this addiction. I also had to verbally tell people what I was doing at least I did at my regular store bu

How often lottery is too much
If your BF is not in debt over his head. Is paying for everything he needs. and has a good income i don't see it as a problem. I often worked overtime for extra cash to buy special things and play the lottery. my bills are always paid on time and no creditors are calling me about late payments. Addiction is usually defined by a person having a problem with some form of abuse. And not being in control of ones addiction. If he has disposable money and want's to play the lottery good for hi

im in TROUBLE
Dawn, You have my prayers. Have you been to therapy? I've been married 20 years also and marriage/gambling therapy may be the way to save yours. I don't work addiction patients but being in the medical field, all addiction is the same in one form or another. You just have to seek the help you need. I wish the best to you and your husband. K.

WOW, TALK ABOUT ADDICTION: Woman stole $2.3M to buy lottery tickets
This is not the kind of jackpot one Long Island woman probably had in mind. The former bookkeeper for a doctors' office pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree grand larceny, admitting she stole more than $2.3 million that she used to buy lottery tickets. Prosecutors, who described the bookkeeper as having a gambling addiction, said the woman spent as much as $6,000 a day playing various lotto and scratch-off lottery games. She spent most of it to feed her pathological addiction, said

Internet Addiction or General Use?
Today I woke up and took a shower, ate breakfast and planned to drive a few hours to visit my father in the hospital. In fact, many times I make plans and then I get on my computer and start answering emails, reading messages on sites I enjoy, often posting an answer or two, and then it's 3 hours later. Where did 3 hours go? Although today I'm not working, last week I only had Sunday to clean my home, run errands and visit people and made a pledge not to even turn on my computer. At midnight I w

KENO! my new addiction
Yesterday I got my IRS check for $12 and I have so far turned that into $40 playing Keno. Out of 12 plays I've won four times so far, only playing 2-spot and betting a dollar. Should I go back and play a few $5 games and see if I can really rake in the $$$? Most I can win on a 2-spot game is $100 if I bet $10 and win. This game sure is a heck of alot easier to win at, and the prizes are better than most other games. (like cash 3 and cash 4)

Very important - Please Read
My thoughts exactly lottaloot! We are ALL adults and if one has an addiction he/she needs to seek help because he/she wants to. With all due respect, one person not posting is NOT going to make a difference if one truly has an addiction. Even if no one posted numbers, which won't happen on a Lottery Forum site; a person who is addicted will STILL play the lottery and any other means to gamble. When it comes to ANY addictions, we must remember that first step in recovery start with one admitting

Is this too much to spend on the lotto?
Here is my deal with the lottery. My husband and I are on a pretty tight budget. He gets paid every other week and from what he gets paid we each take a small amount (about $25) to do whatever we want with it. He loves Diet Coke and the majority of his money gets spent on this addiction. I on the other hand have a number of things which I may spend mine on. I may go to a garage sale or thrift store and get clothing or other junk items or I may decide that I want a big bag of Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Profile Viktor Gjonaj who scammed investors to pay for his lottery addiction
This is a profile of Viktor Gjonaj, the Michigan-based real estate broker who made a bunch of fake companies and scammed a bunch of people to pay for his multi-million dollar addiction to Pick 4. Some good excerpts from the article: Gjonaj had won only a few hundred thousand dollars, he estimates, until June 2017, when he noticed that the number 7-8-0-0 often appeared at least once or twice a year. Believing that the number 7-8-0-0 was due, he started to buy between 300 and 1,000 $12 ti
