Three state lotteries set to begin new multi-state game
I may be in the minority here, but I will miss Win For Life. I played it in Virginia back when I lived there, and it reminded me of the old Tri-State Megabucks in that it had the exact same 6+1 of 42 matrix. I also don't care for this trend of replacing $1 games with $2 games (which also happened to Tri-State Megabucks). On the other hand, I do like a few things about Decades of Dollars. I like the Match 2 prize, even if it's a free ticket. I like the fact that it remains a simple game; in

Arkansas lottery director up for review for first time
From the article: Lottery Oversight Committee delayed action Friday on a proposal for the lottery to join a multi-state game being developed called Dollars for Decades. Has anyone heard about this game being developed? Jimmy

Vacationing man wins $1M scratch-off lottery jackpot
Congrats to the winner!...they promote the hell out of this ticket on tv.. however it disgusts me to no end how they can take 600 grand....If a lottery can't payout a million straight up with or without taxes, then they shouldn't be in buisness....and what I mean by this is how the freak can you institute a lump sum option with a scratch ticket anyhow?????...it's only a million effin dollars!! not 100 million..CT lottery is pitiful is all I can say... Bravo chose to take a lump sum rat

All Things Considered, Which Is The Better Game - PB or MM?
The REAL question should be, Which would you PLAY? to which I would respond, a TRUE Cash 5 game with a number field NO BIGGER than 30-39 numbers! Yes, I KNOW it would not pay out MILLIONS, but I'd settle for 3-5 Cash 5 jackpots a year from $50k to $600k than suffer the loss of all those dollars (for decades) from only having a 1 in 173,000,000 chance winning what in actuality is TWO lotteries in ONE! Always tell the truth-- that will astonish some and gratify the rest. Pres. Harry S.

Tx Lottery Site Down and then Late.
The Tx Lottery site was down and now is very late posting the Tx Lottery results for tonight. State's sites should not be like that, after all, Don't they make about a Billion Dollars a year? Also the numbers that have been winning lately are weird, they don't look as random numbers should, too many consecutives too often and also too many numbers of the same decades. One more reason not to trust them.

Divide and Conquer: Meet the Lottery Titans
Enveloped in neon lights, murmuring crowds and the tinny melody of computerized games, a convention center showroom here bears the trappings of a Las Vegas casino. But the players, mostly state employees sporting suits and name tags, haven't come to this annual expo to gamble. Instead, they are sampling the wares of one of government's biggest cash cows: lotteries, which rang up about $202 billion in sales last year in the United States and overseas. Amid sales pitches and glad-handing, there

Strategies: I'm new to the game in more ways than one
I lived in Hawaii for three long, boring decades. There was always talk of a lottery there, but the big powerful politicians did a good job of keeping it out of the state. Last I heard, Utah and Hawaii are the only two states that are lotteryless (is that a word)? Anyway, I recently moved to Florida (not because it's a lottery state)! Since moving to FL, I purchased a few groupers (mixed bag of: One pick 3 straight Cash Three, pick 4 straight Play Four, two of the 5/36 Fantasy Fives, One Mega

Arkansas lottery director up for review for first time
The director of the Arkansas Lottery, who oversaw its successful launch but has had a series of high-profile flubs, will receive his first employee evaluation Wednesday when the Arkansas Lottery Commission. Commission chairman Dianne Lamberth said the panel will go into executive session to discuss Ernie Passailaigue's performance, which has been highlighted by the scholarships given to students last fall but darkened by a critical audit and other problems. The commission met in closed ses
