New England's Lucky For Life.
I like that DE is getting this game but will only play as a 'fun' game as the odds/payouts really kinda suck. But that seems to be the way of things lately all the big multi-state games are upping the number of balls and making it harder to hit. So a 'for-fun' only game

$320 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
13th-largest US jackpot ever; 9th-largest cash value By Todd Northrop For only the 17th time in the history of United States lotteries, a lottery jackpot run-up has crossed into $300 million+ territory. The new high-water mark of $320 million for the current Powerball jackpot was achieved after no winning tickets were sold for Wednesday night's $260 million grand prize. The lump-sum cash payout value of Wednesday's Powerball jackpot is $198.3 million. After-tax cash and annuity prize

Mega Millions lottery game coming To Oregon
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is about to become Oregon's second major lottery jackpot game. Ticket sales for the popular United States lottery game will begin in Oregon March 28. As of that time, 37 states will offer Mega Millions. (Arizona is due to start Mega Millions sales on April 18, becoming the 38th state, and Colorado is due to start in mid-May, becoming the 39th.) Oregon will continue to offer tickets for Powerball, which is the country's other major multi-state lott

Poll: Michigan Mega Millions
I think there is some truth to what you are saying...Most people have a certain amount to play...If they see another game with big jackpots they will play that ..and probably still play the other games but with less money that is left from what they typically spend because some of that whent to Mega...Maybe that is a minor part of the reason why state games are going longer without hits...but i dont think it makes that big of difference... As far as you saying it's getting less likely to win ..i

Lottery mega-jackpots generating less 'buzz'
Use to be when PowerBall or the BigGame had a jackpot of $200M, Ohioan had to travel just over the boarder and stand in line to buy tickets. Ohio eliminated that problem by joining MegaMillions and keeping that money in the State. Same thing happened in Ohio when its SuperLotto game was the best game around and then the surrounding states started their own 649 games, now none of them generate large jackpots. I don't think people are playing less, there are just more games and more places to p

Which game is better to play?
Probably the raffle. Delaware will keep pushing MWL. Retailers I talk to say they sell very few tickets, which is noted by the lack of winners. Delaware really is too small for having it's own Pick 6, especially given that no one trusts the lottery. Bringing in Hot Lotto or even joining VA's multi-state Win for Life (despite your thoughts of the game) would fare much better than the current game. I would love to see Delaware bring in a game similar to Florida's Fantasy 5 (ball drawn preferred),

N.C. Lottery to join Powerball
Quote from cps10:This is me right now.I wanted the MM.I can drive 5 freakin'minutes across the border to get PB. As we have said..NC could NOT join the MM.That option was not available. It's not poor planning,it was not an option.I agree that MM might have been a better pick but, there was no way to join. As I now recall,we probably won't be able to join Lotto South because I believe I've read that Virginia won't allow any state that is not in the MM to join now that Kentucky has dropped out.I st

Mega Millions Out Shining Powerball
delS,I agree, Mega Millions has clearly emerged as the leader in multi-state games. If you look at the history of the game, you will see that the one reason for its predominance is the fact that they were able to attract and bring on board the best lottery states. The key state additions were New York, then Texas, then California. NY and TX were vital to the game's growth, and then once they got California, that put them over the top.Despite Mega Million being the best of the multi-state games

Calif. lottery director to resign
I hope that CA gets a permanent director of the California Lottery to replace the acting director. I hope the new permanent director and the anti-gambling group filed a lawsuit in July alleging that the game violates a voter-approved aspect of the state constitution, which authorized a lottery to make CA stop playing Mega Millions for good. Besides in Proposition 37 in 1984 says that the CA should be playing their own games in that state and not go to a multi-state game. By stop playing MM, sale
