This is why I have zero interest in casinos. If the prior case fact pattern is that similar or identical, sounds like a solid case. The casino hired that company, IGT. One cannot avoid liability by shifting the blame to a contract hire. This would not be a good case for the casino to take to trial.

Good point. Very few machines like this exist anymore. I think on her machine it has to have three Wheel of Fortunes on the bottom mechanical reel to hit the big jackpot. But not seeing a picture of what occurred not sure. come to think of it have never seen anyone get that on the bottom reels so don't know if the WOF wheel on top spins or not. Not sure if your comment was directed to me and I don't know what some of your acronyms mean (WOF, IGT etc) I'm currently in Texas, a huge lotto state and it's shocking how out of shape these machines are and how unreliable they are. I've lost money by the machines double printing tickets either from me pressing the push buttons or using my app QR code. This happens over and over again at multiple machines and I've contacted the lottery and they are very non chalant, we appreciate your feed

Just like one of the old NYC hotels that had a machine in the basement to wash those nasty coins. Probably long gone. Did comment this morning on their general FB page that 'sure going to miss the #'s hot-line'. It got to be a pain in the a-- to do things on the phone. IGT putting out too many updates and things just never seemed right so gave up. I do use it @ home. Oh, last four of my cell phone came in box last night. To my knowledge the best way to mitigate this is to use a true random seeding method for the PRNG, like from a hardware RNG that uses atmospheric noise, in the broadest sense. The language that a PRNG is implemented in and the device's operating system also affect the performance of a PRNG. My point was someone cannot purchase lotto tickets from the convenience of a smart phone, tablet, home computer and not to depend on a courier service like you mentioned. In KY originally when they offered on-line ticket sales (no courier) that they would not offer Pick 3 or 4 on-line.
