Hacker crashes Belize lottery machines countrywide
On Sunday, lottery buyers throughout the country of Belize, except for only two locations in Belize City, were unable to purchase their favorite numbers for that morning's draw because someone hacked into the computer system which controls the printing of lottery tickets, shutting down the entire system. Karil Wallace, public relations officer for Brads, (Kim Jen Chee), which administrates the lottery explained that the system was the victim of a malicious attack, and in the process, our prin

Illinois Lottery's private manager faces 2nd lawsuit alleging fraud
A second lawsuit has been filed accusing the Illinois Lottery's private manager of defrauding players after an investigation found the lottery did not award many of the biggest prizes in its largest instant ticket games. The lawsuit was filed last week in Cook County Circuit Court by two people who describe themselves as longtime scratch-off players, and like the first one filed last month in downstate St. Clair County it seeks class-action status to cover all players who bought tickets for t

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
It looks like 2MJ is entering territory where some of our larger winners might start thinking about buying it out. If there's 139 books remaining, the total cost would be $83,400 and if each of those books paid out a minimum value of $245 then minimum winnings would be $34,055, and the worst one would lose would be close to $50,000. This would be slightly less b/c chances are the 38 active rolls are probably played out in some part. Now about these 101 rolls. I wonder if the FL Lotto also pul

SC Lottery director stepping down
Paula Harper Bethea is stepping down as executive director of the South Carolina Education Lottery. Bethea, of Bluffton, was an original member of the lottery commission when it was formed in 2001. She has served as director since 2009. The resignation will be effective Oct. 31. The lottery commission is in the process of concluding a 10-year request for proposals for vendors to provide terminals to print out lottery tickets, Bethea said. The end of October marks a convenient window for

I was only joking about the buyout thing. I think based on the roll numbers being reported that $200MS and 50X SHOULD have a jackpot winner circulating somewhere out there, but there's no way to know. The roll numbers seem to suggest that there's plenty of books at what would be near the end of the printing to have the winners, but those same stats also say there should be some decent $100+ prizes left. 200MS seems like the best try. It said in the latest report that Oldghost posted awhile ba

PA New Year's Raffle
In reply to Crazy Wombat: I too am surprised the next one is starting in a few days and ends March-19th. That's a lousy date, but maybe the PA Lottery has it all figured out this time. But doubt it though, since the 4th quarter raffle, which is a busy ticket buying time, didn't sell out. They'll be lucky to sell 300K tickets in 2 months during winter. May be a good time to play, but leery of glitches along with the remote possibility of PA Lottery flaking out and extending the deadline. In

South Carolina Scratchers!! What is going on?
Eh, winning is hit or miss in South Carolina, at least that's been my experience. There's been times where I hit something decent (I've already hit $500, $200 and a few $100 wins on scratchers this year) and times where the cards were just complete let downs. I don't think South Carolina tickets have better odds than Georgia, however. It was South Carolina odds that made me go to Georgia to start buying tickets in the first place. I was putting all this money in and never hit anything over $500

New System. It's awesome. Pick 3 and pick 4.
Yeah, I agree - too confusing. So - I was looking for some, well, just some general help in my belief that the DRAW numbers could be pre-determined, and I came across this article with a guy who works for the Lottery on one of the popular blog sites. Just google Lottery Lucky Numbers and you can find the article. And, I truly believe this guy DOES work for one of the companies like G-TECH for one of the States Lottery. He answers questions and man! Did he ever hit on some of mine - He never did

Minnesota Lottery turns 25, shows off new logo
Includes video report The Minnesota Lottery celebrated its 25th birthday Thursday with a splash of color. In fact, there were many splashes of color, courtesy of celebrity performance artist David Garibaldi. The 32 year old finalist on the America's Got Talent program leapt onto a stage at Target Plaza before the noon Twins game and speed-painted the new Lottery logo on a black canvass in 5 minutes. The new logo features the iconic loon, but this loon has wings spread in flight. It is t

Post your scratch ticket results
Interesting. Now I don't know what game to play. The likelihood of releasing another $5M prize this year in 100X is slim given they will probably want to milk the game out for at least another 12-15 months before reordering it. And Gold Rush is starting to get thin on $3M prizes. No telling on when FF will release another. Almost seems likely that $20 Monopoly $3M winner has got to be coming soon. We took a trip to Cedar Key today to take some pics. Stopped at the only 3 lottery vendors in th
