Don't feel bad wbrightfl - I had over 25,000 entries and didn't win a thing. I wonder if the Florida Lottery knows how many total entries there were for the 2nd drawing ? That would give us some idea of the odds. I'd like to see this and compare it to the odds on scratchers for a $10K prize. Gratz to your mom! Those lower tickets can do well. Sometimes those are the right tickets to play. It is harder to get burnt on the $1 and $2 tickets compared to the $10 and $20 tickets. With $10-$20 tickets, it is easy to chase and slowly deplete your funds. I keep making that mistake. I'm down a couple hundred bucks on the Monopoly game. I keep the number draw tickets until they are passed the expiration date to redeem and try and check them again the month before they are set to expire, just in case I missed something. Then I pitch them. I used to save all of my Instant tickets, but now I toss them after the second chance drawing. Although it was about scratch tickets, the Florida lottery recently had a poll asking if players would spend an extra dollar on a $1 ticket if the losing ticket was entered into a second chance drawing.
