A Colorado woman whose months-old scratch-off lottery ticket was rejected when she tried to enter it into a second chance drawing discovered it was actually a $3 million winner. The Colorado Lottery said a woman named Linda told officials she bought the $45,000,000 Golden Jubilee ticket, a $50 Series game, from a Safeway store in Firestone in July. I can only speak from my experience from the Flamingo drawings. I entered all 4 drawings, and had 1k+ entries each drawing. I was selected an alternate winner during the second drawing with I believe 1.2k+ entries (although I ended up winning nothing). I know when I asked one of the retailers where I buy some of my instants from about the IL Wheel of Fotune tickets and asked him if there were any bigger winners and he said he hasn't seen any over $10. I think the WOF tickets are a rip off but I buy them for the second chance drawing, since it's probably to easier to win that drawing than the actual instant ticket in regards to winning something big...

Massachusetts has many second chance drawings. I have won a few times but always sports merchandise, jerseys, lackets, hats etc... The one I am focusing on right now is The Price is Right $5 ticket. I think a few states have this already...Colorado has it as well, they call it 'second chance drawing', and it's usually for the grand prize that was offered in the scratch-offs. If you mail in your ticket or enter the ticket # online, they'll do a drawing after they've pulled the tickets. I've heard that you've got pretty good odds of winning because not everyone enters. At least the losing tix have a chance at winning something.
