If you win $1 or $2 here and there its best to quit or at least cut back.
I think we are all big loosers. I have been playing lotteries for more than 20 years. I only play terminal lotteries, no scratch off, no casino, no videopoker. I don't have a specific budget. I play QP and SP , sometimes a mix of both, some time multiple draws. I can tell you I lost a lot of Money. I am truck driver and when I drive through Canada or USA , I stop in every states for a pee or for gas and buy a lottery ticket...I cannot enter in a store where there's a retailer machine and not buy

New National Game - What Should It Be?
rdgrnr
Canada has a Pick 7/49 game with a bonus ball. It's called Lotto Max.
The jackpot is set at $50 million. Everything after that goes to individual million dollar prizes.
Cost is $5 for 3 sets. Chances for the added million dollar prizes are FREE.
One problem is that the jackpot seldom reaches $50 million.
I have relatives in Canada and they tell me Max is the hottest game ever.
Folks are paying without complaint.
Also, the basic lotto Pick6/49 game tickets doubled in p

Louisiana Lottery may add Mega Millions next year
Do you know my Opinion about that, a couple years ago we had only two lotteries here, Canada 6/49 and Select 42. 6/49 used to cost 1$ and Select 42 50 cents ( a 6/42 game with a fixed 500 000$ jackpot ) drawing were Wednesday and Saturday, then they changed the Select 42 for Quebec 49 based on Canada 6/49 still 50 cents with a fixed 1 Million jackpot, then add Lotto Super 7 a (7/47) at 2$ game , but get 3 winning combination on Friday night, next they increased 6/49 and to 1$ to 2$ and Quebec 49

Atlantic Canada Lotto Max
Lotto Max is by far the worst game to play in Canada.
If played, it should only be played as part of a group when the jackpot reaches $70 million. Individuals should never play the game.

Tickets from other countries
Thought you might want to see what tickets from other countries look like first hand. More of a show and tell.
The Lotto max is from Vancouver, B.C. Canada and the other one is from London, GB. Notice the Fill in the box to void on the UK one. Do you have any?

Mega Millions lottery jackpot swells to $405 million
Aside from 'feel good stories' these are my favorites the rankings of lottery jackpots.
Just back from Canada and this time played Lotto Max-$60 CD for five weeks.

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
Lotto Max in Canada utilizes a top prize pari-mutuel structure paid in cash. So I am thinking that the U.S. version will do the same, especially with ticket price and such a low jackpot cap (if they follow habit, it won't be though ). I haven't even seen the final matrix yet, just know that there will be 10 prize levels and all the specifics I mentioned earlier. Should know more within the next couple weeks or so.
Small correction to my original post: the game is Monopoly Millionaires' Club,

Judge rules in legal dispute over $33M Lotto Max jackpot
After legal battle, judge rules original Lotto Max claimant entitled to prize
A $33 million lottery jackpot should soon be in the hands of an Edmonton man who has waited almost two months to claim the prize, one of the biggest awarded to a single lottery winner in Canada.
A judge on Wednesday ruled that Matthew Hayduk should be immediately entitled to $33,301,693.30 after finding that another would-be prize claimant, Ted Baltoussen, did not have standing to assert a claim to the money.

Three number matches
OK, this is on the Canadian Lotto 6/49 because there's a lot of historical data, it goes back to 1982 and for the time being I'm in Canada rather than Texas.
The minimum that you have to match in the 6/49 is three numbers so I took all 2,734 draws and parsed them into the three number combinations from each draw then I have a script running through all 13.98 million combinations scoring them on how many three number matches they would've had, if the combination was one that matched all six n

Lottery Winner's Plans? Paying the Bills
Canada has a new drawing called Lotto Max. It caps the first drawing amount at 50 million dollars. When the jackpot goes over 50 million they draw another set of numbers for each million dollars over the first 50 million. Last month the jackpot hit 60 million. The next drawing there was a 50 million winner, 5 1 million dollar winners and 4 winning 500,000. The remaining 3 milion rolled over to the next drawing which starts at 10 million. Go to OLG.CA to read more about this game. This game doesn
