The PA Lottery Ripped Me Off Again ... Part 2
I'm fast changing my mind about the self-service terminals ... am in agreement with you about being cautious. I've been burned twice now this year and will be changing my routine with future ticket buying. At least you won ... came out ahead on your self-serve terminal experience. My using the terminals has met with limited success ... humans or no humans ! Lucky you, going to get some Mass-Cash tickets. I suppose you read my joke post in the Pick 5 thread about PA getting a new evening

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
When you see it laid out in this fashion doesn't it seem unnecessary to change the game? Not if you're a lottery official who has to answer to politicians. The only thing they can see is slower jackpot growth and revenue that's not growing fast enough. The lottery officials might not be as stupid as we think, but their primary goal in deciding if changes are required is probably giving the politicians the answers the politicians want, and that answer is sure, changing the game will increase

Pick 3 Strategy (What number to avoid for the next draw)
I agree with you about changing your thinking about how one chooses numbers. I will have to retrain myself somehow. In my state a quick back test of the last 20 games shows your system to be correct 17 times or 85% by position. The other three times the numbers generated were exactly correct for the position. 8 times or 40% one of the numbers generated did play in the next game. History shows that in pick 3 usually one number repeats from the game before and in my state it was 18 of 20 or 80%. S

I also gave that 268 to a couple people. I only post what the game is doing, sometimes we have to let the game come to us. I

Tenn. lottery CEO gets award named after her
The Tennessee Lottery has generated more than $2.8 billion for education programs since it began in 2003. -Lottery truly helps a lot in our economy. Though it is somehow a gambling game it is just like your giving away your money to help with a chance of changing your life to the fullest. Knowing this playing lottery is not a game to rip-out your hard-earned cash but a game to generate funds to help along side it also earns income, and give chances to people who wants to go from rags to ric

$356 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record
Powerball has been a success because it is generating more winners than mega millions. 3 jackpots have been won since the new game matrix went in effect. I do not count the $336M won in Rhode island since it had tickets sales from the old game matrix. Powerball is making more millionaires the way they promised. $40M to $100M is a life changing jackpot. The 2/25/2012 $70M Powerball jackpot was won in NY with an $8 ticket.

MM and PB jackpots
When Florida joined Powerball in 2009, it went from the matrix of 5/55 + 1/42 to 5/59 + 1/39, making the game more difficult to win again. Just two months ago, Powerball changed again by increasing the ticket price to $2, but in compensation, changing the matrix to 5/59 + 1/35, making the game a bit easier to win (but it only has about 500,000 total combinations LESS than Mega Millions does).

Powerball at $2.00 - What jackpot level do you start playing?
Man that thing will jump like fire.$40 millions is a life changing amount with cash value of more than $20 millions plus with a chance of winning $1 million for the same price. No wonder many players will start playing at $40 millions. This new powerball game matrix will create some gambling problem. It seems to me like a big prize scratch game.

Any close, I mean really close at winning the Mega Millions?
That Ohio win must have been quite a few years ago because when I matched 5of6 in 2002 in Ohio Super Lotto, the payout was fixed at $1500 and the game had been running a few years then. Ohio Classic Lotto is the same game with a few changes like the amount added to the jackpot after each drawing. Ohio wasn't making much money when they were adding a million or two dollars to the jackpot after each drawing and changing that was easier by discontinuing the game for a year and bringing it back w
