Christmas Drawings
Christmas is now the only holiday significant enough to cancel drawings in the United States (with the exception of Louisiana, the only state to conduct regular Sunday drawings and not draw on Easter, and Puerto Rico, which does not draw on some other days of the year). This is the list of who did, and did not, conduct drawings on Christmas this year. Let me know if there are any changes. Mega Millions will be conducting drawings on Christmas - they always have been. Drew on Christmas la

Tennesse lottery markets tickets as Christmas gifts
Buying lottery tickets as Christmas gifts hasn't caught on at east Nashville's Community Market, one of the city's most popular convenience stores for players to buy games. The idea never dawned on Seneca Bradley, 28, who plays there occasionally. But a $1 or $5 lottery game just may be the perfect alternative to a Christmas card, which would cost about the same, he said.Holiday-themed TV and radio commercials encourage people to buy lottery items everything from scratch-off games to Powerball tic

MERRY XMAS EVERYONE-my gift to you
VDM150, you can be a follower of Jesus Christ and still celebrate christmas . but IF it is going to be honorable to God, one must keep their perspective about it. i do know that in america we have gotten away from the spirit in which christmas should be celebrated, turning it into a selfish holiday. so i can see/relate to what you are attempting to say. God himself DID honor the birth of his son by sending gifts via the 3 wisemen. i guess if someone wanted to use scripture to vali

Entire town, except one guy, wins $950M lottery
America needs an 'El Gordo'! I was in Spain for Christmas and witnessed the success of the 'El Gordo' lottery. I also participated but did not win, but it was fun. The Spanish Christmas Lottery, known as 'El Gordo' in Spanish (or 'The Fat One'), has the biggest prize pool of any lottery in the world. It is a national lottery game organized every year since 1812. Because of the unique way El Gordo is played (the expensive tickets are broken down into 10 smaller tickets), it can be quite s

Texas 12/27 Evening...
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year, too! I took a short break from here to make a pecan pie (and eat it), visit with friends and see my Dad in the nursing home on Christmas day. Also, we enjoyed accumulated snowfall of about one and a half inches from late Christmas Eve on into the wee hours of Christmas morning here in the Rio Grande Valley. I live in Harlingen. The Valley hasn't had measurable snowfall since 1895. It truly was a white Christmas here for the first time in history.
