You wouldn't have that problem if you had a program that printed directly onto a playslip... Although, I have had additional markings when playslips are set on a greasy counter or held by a person behind the counter that has greasy fingers... I even had one grease mark on the highest multiple plays once... Had a heck of a time getting them to admit it was their own greasy fingers that made the mark and correct their own error...

Although I've never refused a ticket that was created in error, it's my understanding (but I dont have any proof of it) that if the customer refuses the ticket, the cashier has three choices. Also, I've never had a conversation with any clerk in any store as to what their options are when a ticket is created in error. I made a bonehead programming error while coding that and accidentally produced the report from Hades... It always takes twice as long to do a quick-and-dirty job coding as it does to just sit down and do it right the first time, but I never learn.
