Didn't say how old her husband is, but if he is under 60 and without any other source of retirement income, $half a million won't be enough. Especially after giving some money to her church and maybe take a trip with her husband . Worked with two guys that split a $20 million Ohio Lotto jackpot and both had over 30 years service and filled out retirement papers on their way back from lottery headquarters. I don't know about Canada, but in some US states when someone goes to the lottery headquarters to claim the winning jackpot prize, they must have two form of ID. The names on both forms of ID must match exactly or the prize can't be claimed. It seems like when they jump up the jackpot around noonish. They're still not open yet in Headquarters from what I gather. Mr. Obsessive Compulsive (a bit) called the Colorado Lottery because they had the jackpot off about $100 million dollars. They did fix it on their website. Then two days ago the news here had the wrong jackpot. Said $997 million. Facsimile them; this time they didn't correct it next half hour but 6 p.m. news was correct.

That is interesting. When my wife won $2,600 on a Pick 4, she went to the local lottery office, which is also Lottery Headquarters in my state. They had her do paperwork and show ID and that was it. They cut her a check, gave her a W2G, and she was on her way. I bought the ticket for her and had to do some digging to figure out where I bought it and they didn't even ask! I haven't won big on a scratcher yet so I don't know what they do with those. I hope to find out one day.

The only thing you have to do now is sign a long print out from the terminal, you show your Drivers License and Social and the claim is done on the lottery terminal no more forms to fill out. Of course, then after that the agent pays you. Back years ago like 10 years to 15 years or so...............if i remember right there were numbers hitting straight on daytime like 3 times in one month and 5 times in one to two years time straight the same numbers. I think people called the lottery headquarters and then not long after that the computer wasn't quite as bad with the repeats as it once was.
