Powerball joins lottery frenzy with $620 million jackpot
Just for fun: by weight of comparison, you win this MM jackpot and take the CV and pay your taxes, give the Lord His 10%, and give away another 10% to loved ones you're left with $440M to invest in a company stock (to grossly oversimplify things your stock will perform just like J J in our northern example)... In 29 years your dividend income will be $264M per year pre-tax, and the shares would be worth $10.1B.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Interesting since I, too, was thinking the same thing. Here in Tampa, it seems like every place I ve gone to buy tickets recently still has this game in stock. Also, I had to drive to Naples for a quick day trip last week and I made stops in Sarasota, Ft Myers and Naples; five outta six places had the game in stock. The highest Book Number I ve come across so far is #0816719.

What amount of money would you like to win?
$10 Million(after taxes) would be enough to put into preferred stocks to generate dividend income without using the principle. For example, if you were to buy 200,000 shares of HSBC common stock at $50 a share, it would cost you $10 Million. But the stock generates $2.50 as an annual dividend. It would give you a yearly income of $500K, of which you only pay Federal Taxes because its dividend income you are getting.

Mad as Hell cause you can't WIN MM or PB...??
You can make a good amount of income from the stock market in the form of preferred stocks that pays a very good dividend without ever having to sell and get hit with capital gains tax. With a qualified dividend preferred stock, you are taxed at around 15% while non qualified dividend stocks are taxed as ordinary income. Chose wisely...

Idaho woman wins $390,000 lottery prize after playing same numbers for 27 years
It was a weekly drawing. Assuming the price was always two dollars per line and assuming she only played one line per week, she would have invested roughly $2,800 over the past 27 years. She would have earned far less if she'd parked it in the bank and unless she was a stock picking whiz, she'd have earned less in the stock market.

I took my mom to AK's today to show her the display. She was impressed. Picked up a few GridIron tickets and a WOF. Got a 10X for....$1.00 and she won $5 on one of her 4 Gridirons. UPDATE ON 200MS: Went to Sun Foods at University and SE9th in Gainesville. For anyone interested there is currently a 200MS roll going on at number 18. I was very tempted to buy out the roll but was curious if they had anymore in stock before diving in. The manager came in and the clerk referred my question to h

CNBC writer looking for lottery players
There is no video. This was a pump and dump scheme on a penny stock message board that utilizes Jim Cramer's name. Cramer never has and never will endorse an OTC(pink sheet) stock.

Playing the stock market
I haven't been on the board much lately, while I still buy my weekly tickets... I've been playing the market. To me, thats a better gamble with better odds. That reminds me, I need to buy my ticket for Tues and Wed's drawing, lol.

How would you go about investing a MM & PB win in excess of $80 million
Yea I would do a lot of those. I also have a lot of confidence in the stock market for this year so I would put one million there (like an IRA...tied to a stock index).
