Louisiana woman realized she had won $1 million on lottery after Facebook post from family member
A mother is celebrating her $1 million Louisiana Lottery prize after being completely unaware she had won.
Lala Singleton only remembered to check her ticket after her sister-in-law, from Connecticut, tagged her in a Facebook article that said the winner was from her hometown of Baton Rouge.
Singleton, a 'every once in a while' player of the Powerball lottery, couldn't believe that her chosen five white balls matched those she needed for the jackpot.

Group of Iowa aerospace coworkers win unclaimed $1M lottery prize
One lottery ticket buyer's loss is the gain of group of Cedar Rapids workers.
The Iowa Lottery announced Wednesday that a group of 34 workers at Collins Aerospace, which designs and makes aircraft components, won the $1 million top prize in a lottery promotion to give away an unclaimed Powerball prize.

North Carolina retiree wins $344.6 million lottery jackpot using fortune cookie numbers

North Carolina lottery officials Tuesday evening revealed that a Cumberland County man was the winner of the $344.6 million Powerball ticket that was purchased in Hope Mills.

Wisconsin man, 24, claims $768.4M Powerball lottery jackpot

The winner of a Powerball lottery ticket worth $768.4 million has been revealed. He is 24-year-old Manuel Franco of West Allis.
Franco spoke at length with reporters on Tuesday afternoon, April 23 describing in detail the day he had purchased the tickets that led to this big win. Franco said he left work around 2 p.m. on March 27 and went to the Speedway in New Berlin a few minutes later. He bought $10 worth of individual Powerball tickets.

Inexperienced lottery player's confusion leads to $150,000 prize
A novice lottery player in Oregon who ended up confused while trying to buy a Powerball ticket had his inexperience pay off when he won $150,000.
Michael Faught of Lebanon told Oregon Lottery officials he and his wife were on a roadtrip when they decided to buy some Powerball tickets, which they rarely do, at the Food for Less store in Medford.

A Missouri couple found a lottery ticket in their glove compartment and discovered it was a $50,000 winner just one day before it would have expired.

New giveaway formed after $1 million Iowa Lottery prize goes unclaimed
The Iowa Lottery released a plan for a new giveaway, funded by the money from an unclaimed prize in Nevada.
A $1 million prize was won in the Powerball drawing on April 11, 2018 at a Casey's store in Nevada, Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn said.
This is the first time in Iowa Lottery history that a $1 million prize has not been claimed.
