Ohio Lottery kicks off 2012 with raffle draw

For four lucky Ohio lottery players, 2012 will begin with a windfall of one million dollars.
The winning numbers for the Ohio Lottery's New Year's Raffle game were announced this evening. The full list of lottery results can be found on Lottery Post's Ohio Lottery Results page.
The $20 tickets for the raffle went on sale in November. 500,000 tickets were available.

After 17 months, Ohio Lotto jackpot finally won
Winner will receive record $50.4 million prize
A Kentucky man who wishes to remain unidentified won $50.4 million playing the Classic Lotto at a Mount Adams bar, the Ohio Lottery Commission said Tuesday.
It is one of the biggest lottery winnings for the Cincinnati region and a record for the Classic Lotto game, which hasn't had a winner since May 2010, when someone took home $9.5 million.
Jackpots had been piling up in the game since then. The game is only played in Ohio.

Ohio man sues for share of $99M lottery jackpot
An employee of a Geauga County cabinetry company has sued 22 of his co-workers for denying him a share of a $99 million lottery jackpot.
And, last week, a judge ordered the Ohio Lottery Commission to set aside about $2 million until Edward Hairston's claim is resolved in a trial.

22 Ohio co-workers share $99M Mega Millions jackpot

A lucky group of 22 co-workers were at the Ohio Lottery's Youngstown office Monday to claim their share of last week's $99 million Mega Millions jackpot.
The Ohio lottery said most of the 22 work for KraftMaid in Jefferson, Ashtabula County, midway between Cleveland and Youngstown. The majority of the winners work together in the logistics and customer service departments at the cabinet making company. The group has been playing the lottery for several years.

Ohio gas station sells $99M Mega Millions ticket
A lottery official says a winning ticket for the Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth $99 million has been sold at a gas station in northeastern Ohio.
Ohio Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kildane says the winning jackpot ticket for Friday's drawing was sold at Speedway in Jefferson, 10 miles from the Pennsylvania border. She says the jackpot has been accumulating since July 5.
Kildane says the winner can claim the prize beginning Monday because lottery offices are closed for the weekend.

An Ohio man won $5 million in the Ohio Lottery Tuesday, but even though he's dependent on kidney dialysis, he says he plans on helping friends and charities with financial gifts.
