Germany Lottery draw glitch caused announcement of wrong numbers
German broadcaster ZDF gave Lotto ticket holders a moment of false hope on Wednesday evening, after a glitch with the ball machine meant presenters read out the wrong numbers.
At 6:50pm, 2.33 million people turned on their TVs to see if they'd won this week's lottery jackpot. But what presenters in the ZDF studio had not noticed was that that two balls, 46 and 47, failed to roll into the see-through Lotto drum.

The Kentucky Lottery has announced a major shift in its nightly televised drawing show. Starting September 16, the nightly drawing program will no longer be aired on broadcast TV stations. Instead, drawings will be streamed live and archived on the Lottery's website (kylottery.com).

12 arrested in conspiracy to rig Mexico lottery drawing
Twelve people, including four public employees, are accused of attempting to embezzle 160 million pesos ($12.1 million) from Mexico's national lottery, authorities said.
Around $8 million of the money has been recovered, the Attorney General's Office and several other federal agencies said in a joint statement.

Virginia Lottery drawings now streamed live on Facebook

The Virginia Lottery now is streaming its drawings live on its Facebook page, in addition to its Web site.
In order to view the live video stream on the Virginia Lottery Facebook page, visitors must first click the Like option on the page, according to a lottery news release.
The live streams began on Sept. 14, and can be viewed daily at 1:59 and 11:00 p.m.

Tri-State lottery players get extra chance to win Pick 4
Players of the Tri-State Pick 4 lottery had two chances to win this week when a ball left in the drawing machine led to two sets of winning numbers.
Lottery officials said they discovered that a ball was inadvertently left in the chute of the drawing machine before Tuesday's evening winning numbers were drawn, so the number wasn't included in the drawing.

Assemblywoman wants N.J. lottery drawings back on TV
New Jersey Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Mercer) announced today she will introduce a bill requiring NJTV to broadcast the New Jersey lottery drawings.
Since July 1, the New Jersey Lottery has been streaming its daily lottery drawings only on its Web site and on its Facebook page.
Watson Coleman wants the drawing to be available on the state's public television network. NJTV is the private nonprofit that replaced New Jersey Network earlier this month.
