ok, neither WV or DE have sunday drawings... and WV has no mid-day would it be better to just stick with PA? Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

added conditional formatting to backtest mirror hits in the next draw... 2005 results 1. Mid-Day No hits, plenty of 1 and 2 numbers but no hits 2. Eve. 1 straight hit. 3/25 draw was 583, which mirrors to 038... 038 was the 3/26 draw! wow, even if I just played the mirror number for the next draw eve for $1 straight I would be ahead for the year... I am liking this so far. I wouldn't play the mid-day regardless because I am boycotting PA computer draws (mid3 and mid4 day) tntea, we're only in the 102 stage and already you are hanging in there with backtesting WTG! Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

Ok..I just found this.... GA mid GA Vtrac 11/23/05 566 v122 11/24/05 590 v151 11/25/05 587 v143 11/26/05 385 v441 Missing vtrac 2 2 last seen with 21 1 last seen with 44 Strings to play 244/422 112/221 411/441 124 Now I made a list of the exchange/mirrors 566 011 v for 011 = v122 590 045 v for 045 = v151 587 043 v for 043 = v154 385 830 v for 830 = v441 Now by looking above..I see that 2 strings I am saying to play have each hit twice in the last 4 days..the 2 are v122 and 441 I am still not sure if I have the correct strings in play or not...I may not be fully understanding this "last seen with" info..I have reread all 3 threads 4 times...lol..I will do so again, til I get it right.. Am I close or at least on the right track??

wow paurths, nice data to have!
PA evening seems a bit light on draws(@2700)... I stopped tracking pick3 in PA eve 7/25/2004....
from inception (3/1/1977) until 7/25/2004 there were 9,357 draws.
I will eventually backtest against all of 'em, but tntea isn't done with the lessons just yet.
also they had an area after 7/25/04 where they had a "bonus draw" on the same night if a green ball came up.... that lasted a few months and I need to add all of that data yet. Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

I don't have all the drawings, i know. Not all official sites offer a download-possibility that is somewhat "workable" before importing it into my database. If it's too much trouble, i get the draws from another place, but it only goes back until 1998.

Tntea, Once you start playing a string(s), how long do you play it for? 5 days, 7 days? or do you do new calculations after each drawing? Since no major change was made with the double vtrac return.. I will continue to play the string on the next draw..

I pulled data from PA's site one year at a time, then simply pasted it into excel, sorted by date ascending, cleaned up the formatting, and it was ready for export/"save as" to any type of file (including CSV, for database import)
17 years (at the time) in under 10 minutes ;-)
I am still updating the entire list to date, I am wondering if MS access might be a better choice... or at least maintain an access DB along with the excel sheets... Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

TX has Sunday off but provides me with info on TN picks then I guess I will add DE... WV having no mid-day at all seems a bigger hurdle than every 7th day off...right?
actually DE has no sunday MID draw... tricky import, but now I have a version that has PA and mirror DE... If requesting a copy, please specify single state (Still PA, just change numbers), 1 mirror state (PA and DE, again just change numbers) or both.
I don't plan on doing multi-state mirrors, it's too hard to see in excel... I'll leave that to the hearty pencil and paper crew! Playing more than one ticket per game is betting against yourself.

pulling draw data from state websites? anytime... we all owe you big!
I never hesitate to give back to the LP community with excel when I can... I learned ALOT about excel here in the forums. there are a bunch of tech-savvy excel wizards on the LP doing some very creative things, and I thank them all for what I have gained skill-wise.
