The Lotto 649 Jackpot was only for 3 Million last wednesday and now it rolled over to 8 million. I thought that they were suppose to start of with 4 million and then probably 10 million? That is what was promosed when the new price of 2.00 per line was enforced on us! Yes enforced on us is what I said, they should never have increased the price! What's is your opinion on this matter?

When Lotto 6-49 went to $2 a ticket, the ILC guaranteed the jackpots to be $4 million, 8 Million, and so on. Now it seems they have gone back to estimating the jackpot from projected sales and the leftover from the draw pot of the last draw. For example, the huge $38 million one had so many winners that the next jackpot started at $3 million. If you want you can contact OLG or the ILC who runs the game for the 5 provincial jurisdictions. One reason maybe that they are not seeing the sales, even with raising the price to $2. If I find out more I will post. I think the game is much better with the $2 price. Every big jackpot I've seen has been after the price increase. I think the $4 million starting pot is only an estimate as I haven't seen a guaranteed jackpot in a long time. As far as not seeing the sales, sales are higher now than at the old $2 million start. Just be thankfull that you get large tax-free jackpots in cash. 6/49 will most likely have a 30+ million pot this summer if 14.9 million goes unclaimed on June 7th in Alberta. Unlike the states the Canadian lottery actually gives the money back to the players (and gets higher sales as a result). If you want to look at a floundering game look at Super 7. It never seems to get high unless it's a bonus round.

Lots of rollovers here since the price increase as well.. Seems like no one wants to play anymore due to the scandals. Quick Piks are the only way to win!

Almost all of those scandals could have been avoided if people check the tickets themselves. If it rolls on Saturday it should hit $30 million or close to it.

Considering how strong the Canadian Dollar is right now it's a great prize for a 6/49 game. Hopefully a winner will be not from Quebec or Ontario and the rest of Canada can get a piece. I've seen them push the prize upto 30 million for the bonus rounds but not past it. I think it will either be 30 then 4 million or 30 then 35 in the unlikely event of it rolling.

It's hard to say if it will go to 35 since this is a bonus round. I though they would put the $15 million unclaimed money in sooner than fall but it looks like that's when they will do it. Still I wonder why sales for 6/49 remain depressed since the prize is good and it's tax-free cash.

Looks like the next jackpot is indeed $35 million. Wonder what Saturday's pot is if someone wins. This has to be the biggest bonus drawing yet.

The $32,000,000.00 LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot for Saturday June 2, 2007 was won by one lucky ticket purchased in Ontario. This Wednesday's Jackpot is an estimated $35 Million |
