Just a thought, we can "opinionate" about this forever, and have. Let's try some actual results instead of "I thinks..." Let's pick a jackpot game- I'll do Illinois Lilttle Lotto, and post only jackpot winners, from now until Dec 31 '07. (I'm picking a Pick 5 because there's a drawing every night). Hopefully at least several people will pick a game and track it and let's see what we have over the course of a month. This was Illinois Little Lotto for last night: LITTLE LOTTO PRIZE PAYOUTS FOR WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28, 2007 WINNING NUMBERS: 05 - 06 - 18 - 27 - 28 PLAYERS MATCHING 5 OF 5 NUMBERS INCLUDING SUBSCRIPTION WINNERS 1 EACH PLAYER WILL RECEIVE $355,000.00 WINNING TICKETS WERE SOLD AT 400134 JRS BAR & GRILL (QP) 2048 STATE RT 23 GRAND RIDGE/61325 ___________________________ But I'll use it as a "warm up frame" and we'll start even. Please try and not to pick a game someone else has. I'm not restriciting this to Pick 5 because for some strange reason the of the jackppt games forums the game most likely to be hit gets the least attention.
Only post jackpot winners please, no lower prizes, and no jackpot, no post. Let's see what happens. It's Lotto, not horseshoes or artillery! Close doesn't count! I sell everything at a loss but make up for it in volume - Milo Minderbinder, Catch-22 There are two kinds of jackpot winners...the ones who remained anonymous and the ones that wish they had.

The Illinois Little Lotto is a 5 / 39 game ( it used to be 5 /30). Tremendous difference in odds, but 2 numbers didn't pay anything in the 5 /30 game - now 2 numbers pay $1, the lesser prizes are fixed at $1, $10, and $100, previously they werent's fixed, depended on the actual play. Mega Winner writes: I would do Mega Millions but thats the one I play lol. I have a weird thing about checking those numbers lol Did you mean tracking, not checking? If you play a game, you have to check the numbers! No? Coin Toss - look at the last few days for Fant 5 (Florida) 11/29 = 03-04-12-18-28 11/28 = 02-06-34-35-36 11/27 = 09-17-22-25-28 11/26 = 01-12-19-24-28 My Mom was born on 3/28 and 28 is always one of my numbers.

Tracking but tracking jackpot winners as far as was the winning ticket a quick pick or a set of numbers someone played, not what the numbers were. In other words, at the end of this little experiment hopefully we'll have several states and games and it will look like: Illinois Little Lotto, 32 draws, 13 jackpots, 9 were quick picks, 4 were not. It's Lotto, not horseshoes or artillery! Close doesn't count! I see what you mean. Most winners in FL are QPs, but does that really tell us anything? It only indicates that the majority of players buy them. However, I've seen several Fantasy 5 jackpots won that weren't QPs. Is the report always accurate or is it entered manually? Florida has made so many errors over the past few years, that I believe someone might be posting the information onto the web site. Yesterday it was 50/50. The winning FANTASY 5 numbers were: 02 - 07 - 23 - 27 - 32 The winning tickets were sold at the following locations: Foodmax 2040 N.W. 49th Avenue Lauderhill (Broward County) Publix - Quick Pick 11255 Causeway Boulevard Brandon (Hillsborough County) Publix - Quick Pick 1930 State Road 44 New Smyrna Beach (Volusia County) Valero 7575 W. 36th Avenue Hialeah (Miami-Dade County

Same thing in Maryland they tell you where they were won and who won them but they do not tell us whether it was a quick pick or personal numbers. statistics already point out that more winners win with quick picks because more people play/buy quick picks.

I'm trying to do a "picture is worth a thousand words" thing here, or more accurately, one thread tracking actual results is worth 1,000 threads about the superiority of choosing your number vs quick picks, or vice versa, which ever way it turns out. This is a very large vboard, as of today 57,243 Lottery Post Members. Figure that on any given board maybe 6 - 20 % of the members are active and 6 - 20% of that percent post. Most of them seem to favor picking numbers so I'm trying to take a month and a day and see if that's valid or not. I call it the 1994 World Series syndrome. You meet somebody that's telling people what a great time they had at the 1994 World Series. You say, "Excuse me, that was the year there was no World Series because of the player's strike." They look at you with hate in their eyes and then go on to tell the next person they encounter what a great time they had at the 1994 World Series, etc...ad nauseam. Good ole Maven U., whose mottos is "Opinion Over Knowledge" PS Maven has more people posting om discussion boards than any other school! It's Lotto, not horseshoes or artillery! Close doesn't count! As far as I know the state lottery sites post it, Illinois and Florida do for sure, if NJ doesn't then I don't know where you'd find it. It's Lotto, not horseshoes or artillery! Close doesn't count!
