Mistakes are best corrected in my opinion.  No mistake ever won that I know of.

I've never won anything on a mistake ticket, but it does happen. I believe Todd has posted some news stories about people fighting over winning tickets that were "mistake" tickets.

Just more proof that the "Lottery Fairy" is either smiling on you (a mistake is a winner) or not (it isn't a winner).

Or you have it voided and it would have won, etc...

It's all luck Lep, nothing but.

I'm a sucker for buying mistakes, but I never win off them!  Maybe it just hasn't happened yet...

Good luck!

I actually won a 3+0 last year while playing the numbers I play on MDogs PB & MM challenge's.

I actually filled out a MM ticket using PB numbers.  I did not realize it untill I was looking for the line that I had played on my MM spreadsheet....

I'vre posted this before, but regarding mistakes, this was Keno, not lotto (casino Keno):

We had to go in to work for a mandatory meeting and one guy was really ticked off about having to come in opn his day off. But since he was there he picked up hi toke envelope (tips) from the day before and there was a $50 in it. So on the way into the meeting he played a multi-game Keno ticket, and 8 spot, for the next 50 draws.

He played "all the sixes" - 6 16 26 36 46 56 66 76. That's what was on the ticket he submitted (in casino Keno this is the same as a lottery playslip).

Wehn he got the ticket, the Keno writer had marked all the eights on the live ticket - 8 18 28 38 48 58 68 78. So he aid go ahead and play that one.

In other words, the playslip he marked was a vertical line of the sixes, but the ticket the Kewno writer gave him was a vertical line of all the eights.

The next day, when he came into work, the Keno people were looking for him as one of the games his ticket was for had all the eights hit- and because of that mistake he won $50,000. ($1 8-spot)

Like I said, pure luck.

Oh yeah- he started getting marriage proposals from some of the female 21 dealers!

I bought a pre-printed Powerball ticket at Ashland, Orgeon for $3.00 but I did not win.

Like someone said, you must be at the right time, and at the right place. The lottery machine will spit out the winning numbers. That crucial moment is all you need to win whether it is a mistake or not.

I sell lotto tickets and off all the mistakes I've seen at my point of sale, none have won anything. I've even bought a few.

and the lotto [ticket] machine does not spit out the winning numbers, the drawing machine does . Wink

One time they ran a JC5 ticket through twice and it had 3 of 5. Other times I forgot to mark "Midday" and the number played as Evening and won Pick-4 box on a Double. Sometimes I had program code that contained a significant coding error but won several times small prizes - to this day I keep code handy from 2004 that does this. Years ago I read on a Mega Millions story a guy played a set twice by mistake and won 2 shares of a jackpot that divided 4 ways, 2 being his.

Question: if they ran the PB ticket "again", and the PP was X4, and you won "$400", what happened to the original non-PP ticket? Usually they can't be cancelled so either you really got $500 or the Agent also made $100 off your mistake.
