Hi all,
I was wondering why people play those "Georgia Skill" Slot machines and a few other ones at the convenient stores if the machines don't pay money and are just for Amusement purposes? Cuz i saw a man lose a few hundred dollars on the machines in one sitting!
I was just confused because wouldn't their money be better spent on instant lottery? at a game that has cash rewards rather than a game that is just for fun?
Am i missing something here?

Are these machines new? I've never seen or heard of them before and I play in GA all the time. How are you going to win if you don't play? Good luck lotto players.... Tnplaya.

Hi, this is my first post . I just joined the group and look froward to reading messages from all of you that I can . I live in NW GA about 12 miles from Chattanooga TN and , so far , do all my playing in GA . I am puzzled about the slot machines too , as I have never seen any of them . Unless they are used by people who plan on visiting a casino and want some practice , I have no idea why anyone would play them . Anyone knows there are free games to be found on the Internet , if you only wish to play for fun . Just to let everyone know, my biggest win after one year of playing was $100 on a $2 scratch -off called Red Hot and Wild 7s . I had 4 - 7s on the card . The 3 black ones were for $10 each and I had one red one which was also for $10 , but paid at 7 times for the red 7s . I like going to Casinos all over the US and so far my biggest jackpot in a Casino was $1107.00 . PS: I also have a 'cheap 4 cup set ' of cups given to me for playing at a Casino in Tunnica MS , which probably costs me $1500.00 . But you have to play to win, ha,ha . Glad to be here , Jerry

I believe those machines are for entertaining lpurpose only. They do not pay money cause if they did it would be illegal or against the law in Ga.

Iowa had these machines a couple of years ago. When you won they would spit out a receipt with the amount of your winnings printed on the receipt. You took the receipt to the clerk to get paid.If you got a big win (over $600) you would have to go to a lottery office to get paid.Iowa only had the machines for a few months because the casinos started complaining that they resembled slot machines and weren't legal for the lottery to have them. The state Supreme Court agreed and the lottery got rid of them. It's a shame because my wife won several thousand dollars on them in a pretty short time.

Maybe it's like the one I talked about and as you said they pay to " regular known customers " . Watch your lottery store and I'll bet that pretty soon they get raided , unless perhaps one of the "regulars " is the Local Sheriff , like in a neighboring city near me . He let it ride but the Gov didn't and now he is jailed and faces many years in jail , for this and other pay-offs from store owners . I say if you want to paly slots, go to a Casino .
