Hello DOC TOR ...  we are all learning at the same time. One thing we do know ....as long as the string holds together there are some advantages with what numbers to leave out ....and ones to make sure to include each draw.

You have already read some of the more obvious things that are good to consider with these strings .

Stay tuned ... several people are looking and experimenting with these.

Win D, thank you. I apologize for not being quicker to respond.

We have the 3 and 5 year old grandkids coming over for the night so we're trying to hang everything from the ceiling and install barbed wire fencing around anything that looks tempting to a small boy. I would have put in a order for guard dogs but I was afraid the dogs would be whimpering before the afternoon was over.

When everything settles down I'm going to be going over (read rewriting) some of my older programs so I'll get a chance to play with this idea too!

Thanks,

G

excellent points.

in MO i have a 2yr planner so i went back from beginning of year and wrote down the string, highlighted when it broke, underlined the digit that hit.

im not a math person so i won't say 50%, but alot of the time 2digits in the string hit, some times it was 1digit and it picked 2 from the other side, some time it was all 3(thought that might signal the flip, sometimes it did).

missed 8/4 & 8/5 middays cause i was thinkin the string would break and 3 days of 2digit pairs (5 gone 5days this time.

was also looking at the pairs and going with that pair if it was 12 or fewer skips (now i'll look at the most overdue)

still working on it.

well MO evening 8/7 was 521 string(12589) so i'm feeling good about 2morrow night, feeling the strings ends at 54.

Numbers are a game. U want 2 play.

Thanks WinD, I keep my eyes and mind open for what is being said here.  Last midday TX 987 first two from string and one from the other, Night TX 036 string broke all from the other.  This is very good I will havee to do more homework.

Hey Doc! I finally got a program up and running on this idea. Now, after reading your post I'm questioning if I need to make some changes.

I wrote the program to track only when all the digits drawn were contained in the set. I've been testing the lowest five (0,1,2,3,4) and see some interesting possibilities, but your opens up an new avenue!

Since I'm new to this idea, are you suggesting only one number needs to hit to keep the string alive?

Thanks,

G

Hi garyo1954,

yes, that is correct, the string stays alive even if only 1 number from it has being drawn.
The string stays alive if  any of the digits is being drawn, once none of the digits has been drawn then the string ends.

cheers
Ricky

Thanks, Ricky! I did some testing last night with code requiring all three numbers be in the set using the combined Day/Night drawing here in Texas.

0,1,2,4,7 hasn't had a winner in 51 days. Historically that is the longest that set has ever been out as a group.

I'm still working out the flow of the program and the bugs, so that may change.

What I did was take a program I had written to determine the number of 6 way combinations, 3 way combinations, and triples produced by each set of 5 numbers. Rather than counting hits, I changed it to count misses.

A couple of more changes won't hurt it.....Wink

Thanks!

OH no .....  I think your starting to doWHEELs.... the 5 digit String is not a wheel .  Go back ....  If this is the case.... If your requiring all three digits in your matrix .....your doing wheels. ...not Strings.  People have already confussed the Strings ...with wheels and this may confuse even more....   If thats not where you were going......  never mind.....and .. Thanks

..........."code requiring all three numbers be in the "        01247wheel ?

 127, 047, 147, 012, 247, 014, 024, 124, 017, 027

=============================================

By the By..... Texas evening and midday Strings right now are below..... i dont do combined draws but anyway. Good Luck

The 5 digit Strings right now for Texas EVE are ...... 13569 going on now for 45 draws

The String for Midday Texas is ..........................35689 going on ........46 draws so far.
