Geez, this is the 47628th thread of the same topic.

As soon as I find that I am the jackpot winner, I will drive down to a nearest lottery office, which is 45 minute drive from my home, as soon as possible. I will simply present my ticket and get the group claim form so that I can give some percentage to my parents and sisters. (6% for parents and 2% for each of my sisters.)

CA lottery requires the winner to reveal the name, and this is a very interesting part. I am Korean and my first name contains two separate words. So people really get confused. For example, an average Korean man's name is something like Kil-Dong Hong. Kil-Dong is the first name and Hong is the last name. Funny thing is that even with '-' Americans seem to ignore the second part of the Korean first name.

With that, I practically share my name with hundreds of Koreans living in Los Angeles County. And there will be no press conference whatsoever. (I can choose not to have one) I've made too many enemies for last nine years and the first thing I would get after having a press conference is to get an avalanche of lawsuits.

Another point. My Korean name is virtually unpronouncable to Americans, so I use an English name. Most people who knew me don't know about my real legal Korean first name, so I can have a bit more anomymity.

No party, no celebration. I will hire a team of lawyers and accountants and look for some commercial properties. I guess now's the chance to buy a property or two.

-Driving to the Lottery headquarters is dangerous considering that you're very nervous and excited which cause an accident.  I would take a train or taxi.

-Hire a lawyer and finance planner.  Pick the Annuity option because the current economy is garbage.

-Don't tell anyway of your winnings.

        -Choose to remain anonymous.

-Don't be stupid like Jack Whittacker and other broke lottery winners.

If you win in a state with income tax, don't claim annuity regardless, unless you want to pay state income taxes for the next 26 to 30 years. Twitch

Don't worry. I've been preparing mentally for last 3 years. :)

No, no annuity option. Even a state or nation can go belly up. I am preparing for the worst of worst.

Of course I won't tell anyone beside my parents and sisters.

California won't let me stay 100% anonymous. But I explained already. Due to a unique nature of my first name I can virtually go undetected.

I STUDIED interviews with Jack Whittaker. I am amazed that a moron like him can be an established businessman making millions before winning a jackpot.

How come California will not let us stay 100% anonymous?

I think the question might be what steps do you take to claim your jp, not what would you do with the money.  If thats the case...I have no clue.  I have NEVER had money..lol Not that I don't have a savings account and don't know how to save..its that I've never had a ton of money that needed to be settled perfectly like say 200M would.

My in laws know more about that stuff, and we have a lawyer in the family..so we'd go to him and say "help please?" lol

I do know the time I don't turn in the ticket will kill me...I'm a very nervous person already so the faster I turn it in at the office/headquarters the better.  I've thought about it, but I don't expect to win so I haven't went real deep into thought.  Hope that choice don't bite me in the butt if I win and go uhhhh DUH??

I can't say I'd mind if anyone knew i won.  My plan is to move from here anyway.  I need the ocean and this dry area I'm at it frizzing my hair!Scared

Surrender You can run, but you can't hide mighty Jackpot...surrender to me at once!

First I would be discrete about it, as no one will know that I've won.. Of course I will call the claim office that I have the right to be kept anonymous.

Second, I'd buy new house, new car and furnitures, then go tell my parents I have a gift..

                          3rd, travel the world!!

That's if the money I won could be spent this much.. ehhehe ;)
