Dear Players,

I recently was in Ohio at a Rest Stop and Decided to buy a " Cash Blowout Ticket"

They Give you three number to match yours below. No Numbers Match the Ticket says "FHN"

I looked on a website where I was told that FHN means $500 Winner?

If anyone out there knows more information please let me know, Here is a artical I found recently on the NET.

Thanks help would be greatful ,

Mr. Lucky loves scratching off lottery tickets.

Some games are more fun than others. As a rule, I don't play thebingo games. They are too much work and you have to check very closelyto see if you are a winner. It's also difficult to tell if you have awinner with the Florida Lottery's Hold 'em Poker game.

I was in a convenience store recently and a lady was scratching offthe code on bingo games and throwing away the "losers" -- or least whatshe thought to be losers.

Do you know about the three-letter code on the scratch-off tickets?

Thecode usually tells you if you've won. Some of the more common winningcodes: TIC means you won a free ticket. ONE means you won $1; TWO $2;FIV $5; FRY $40; FTY $50; HUN $100; THN $200; FHN $500.

When you get a code that makes no sense, such as FTW, WYF or CVF, itusually means you are a loser. But there's a catch. If the ticket wins$600 or more, meaning you have to take it to a Lottery office tocollect your prize, the code is one of those that makes no sense.

You also have to be aware of oddball winning amounts. the new $10Cash Blowout has a $60 prize (SXY or STY -- I've heard both). And, awhile back, I won $300 on Triple Dough. The TEH code would have lookedlike a loser to me if I was a code player.

Sorry but you did not win.  The code for $500 in Ohio is FHU.  Sorry to disappoint you

That is too bad. I love when I see FHN on a ticket- stands for $500 in Mass.

Letter codes are very structured here as opposed to what it appears to be like elsewhere.

          In Mass-

          $1 ONE

          $2 TWO

          $3 THR

          $4 FOR

          $5 FVE

          $6 SIX

          $8 EGT

          $10 TEN

          $15 FTN

          $20 TWY

          $25 TWF

          $30 TRY

          $40 FRT

          $50 FTY

          $100 OHN

          $200 THN

          $250 THF

          $300 TRN

          $400 FRN

          $500 FHN

Any winner over $500 would have an otherwise "losing" code. Losing codes are: EYR, FHR, FOW, NEW, NRH, OIR, OHR, OVT, SRX, TEV, TYH and VNF.

Lots of people simply look at the code and if they see a losing code they toss the ticket, not realizing it could be a jackpot tic. Nothing better than finding matching symbols/numbers on a ticket and then seeing a "losing" code. This has happened to me (on tickets I bought) 4 times. I have hit for $1000 three times and for $5000 once. Still looking for something with a couple more zeros at the end....

          Good Luck!

Ohio screws with you like that.  They get you to think you have a big winner, but it's really nothing.

I've redone my website.  Go to www.dr-ew.com.  I kept a lot of the old stuff, and I've added some new stuff.  Look for more new stuff in the coming weeks.

My friend knows about lottery because he works at a beer store. He was telling me my ticket could still be a winner.

He stated that they wouldn't put a code in there if it was not a winner of some ammount...

I've tried to E-mail the lottery and tell them about my ticket. No reply back

if anyone can help with this please let me know!

                  thank youWink

with all due respect, if you cannot figure out a whether a ticket is a winner or not simply by reading the instructions and seeing if the symbols match or however the game is played, I suugest you try a different form of gambling. Perhaps Bingo?
