Hey guys, I forgot which states allow you to claim Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots anonymously.  I read a list a while back but forgot the info.  I do remember Maryland being a state where you can claim anonymously.  Can you guys help me out and let me know which states allow it?  And yes, I've already googled it.

The games are multi-state but the rules on claiming anonymously are state-by-state.

You'd have to google each participating state's lottery website to get that information.

For a little "anonymous humor" no state can match Delaware. Do a search for that here on LP and see what you find.

Delaware sells Powerball and allows you to remain anonymous (state law allows this).

Maryland sells Megamillions and allows you to remain anonymous.  However, I don't think there is a state law protecting the anonymity of winners.  So if a reporter were to file a Freedom of Information Act request the winners identity may be revealed.  This recently happened to a winner in Kentucky who wanted to remain anonymous.

Of course this is optional.  You don't have to pose for the pic while holding the happy face if you don't want to.

You can claim anonymously in Michigan for all state games but not for Mega Millions.

                You can't predict random.
