We MIGHT get a triple pretty soon looking at the following chart. The skips of any double digit hit is shown on the left side and the skips of any triple digit hit is shown on the right. In over 5,000 night draws, the maximum skip between triples is only 347 games, or about 13 months. The median skip is 62 games out. We've had several hits above the median recently and are currently out 112 games, or 4.3 months. Looking at hits in the Last 300, 600, and 1200 games, we're slightly above the expected hits for L300 and L600 with total hits of 3, 6 and 8 respectively. The reason could be that in the Last 2400 games (not shown), we've had 21 hits of triples so 8 in the last 1200 looks like it's significantly behind.

With such large skips it's hard to nail down a tight range but we may get one before the end of the year. I still like 0-0-0 and 3-3-3 but of course others are possible as well. The only triple that hasn't ever hit is 9-9-9. Random number theory suggests there's a 50% chance that 1 combination out of a thousand will hit in 692 games. There's a 90% chance that one combination will hit in 2,300 games. A 99% chance it will hit in 4,600 games and a 99.9% chance it will hit in 6,900 games.

We are currently 5,016 games into Pick 3 Night and sure enough there are 3 combinations that haven't hit, meaning 997 (or 99.7%) of all possible combinations have hit. The longer that time goes on, the more likely it is that 149, 382, or 999 are going to hit.

Just some "random" statistics for Pick 3 Night to start off the month of November.
