If you live in New York and play scratch-offs frequently.... post your wins, ticket #'s, where you bought them, etc. and discuss your opinions/thoughts or strategies for playing.

I have to say I love New Yorks scratch-offs....they pay huge jackpots for all tickets and seem to have a fair payout most of the time...

Recently I bought two $20, 500,000,000 extravaganza tickets (#11 and #12) and got three coins for $10 each on the first and a number match for $40 on the second. Pretty glad to walk away with a $30 profit yesterday Smile

Feel free to post wins or just discuss your thoughts on NY scratch-offs....

All I can say it that your scratch-offs seem much better than the ones in Florida

Thinking that they also seem better than the PA scratch-offs.

Idk brothadan, I've never had that bad of a losing streak on any tickets, there must've been something big after that $25 winner to make up for it

wow 3 back to back winners on the $30 win for life?? ive seen a $30 win for life picture posted on the front of a store for $5,000 winner on #5...but ive had no luck on that ticket either...worse time on it was when i bought about 8-9 tickets and only get back $35....ive had back to back on #48 and #49 of $50 and $30 but i bought the last 3 tickets so i still was down $10....

            on another note today i spent about $300 on $5 $10 $20 scratchers....all that money gone...bought $10 cashword from #30 to #50...all i got was about x3 $10 winners and a $20....horrible...

wow man 8-9 $30 ticket and one $35 winner!? thats pretty ridiculous, something doesnt seem right about that...the worst losing streak I can remember having was like 9 losses on the $5 black ticket a few months ago. the tenth ticket was a $10 winner Roll Eyes

Just bought #46 500,000,000 extravaganza and got a coin for $50, pretty happy about the $30 profit. I'll try to upload the pic from this winning and my future winnings when I get the time...

Did you see that guy who recently won $5,000,000 on 500,000,000 extravaganza? The retailer is like 15 minutes from my house in a King Kullen I've boughten tickets from.....that so should've been me!Cool I wouldn't play that ticket anymore though--all 5 mil prizes are gone now.

Hey, I live in Jersey and was thinking of picking up a couple of a certain 2 scratch offs in NY if I'm ever there, but figured I'd ask what you guys thought of them.

The $2 ones with top prize of $100 and the $5 with a top prize of $500.... how are they?  Like, how often do they hit decent prizes, when compared to the rest of the scratch offs?

Well it depends on what you're willing to pay but from my experience all $10 tickets and the $30 ticket have had the most consistent pay out for me. If buying these tickets, always see if you can purchase #45-50 as the end of the roll seems to always have a decent prize.

wow you just bought 1 and got a winner? i usually have to chase to get a winner lol. after losing over $300 yesterday i had to cut down today. only bought 2 lots of greens and 1 empire state, all $5 tickets. got a $20 win from 1 of the lots of greens on # 93. cashed the $20 and bought another $5 which lost, so i broke even for today lol.

what number was your ticket btw??

yes i saw the news where the guy in long island i think who won the $5,000,000 jackpot.

Well, I was considering a certain couple tickets, here I link them.......

                          http://nylottery.org/wps/portal/NYSLHome?WCM_PORTLET=PC_7_SPTFTVI4188AC0IKIA9Q6K0QS0_WCM&WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/NYSL+Content+Library/NYSL+Internet+Site/Home/Instant+Scratch-Off+Games/%242+GAMES/A+Gift+for+You/

                          http://nylottery.org/wps/portal/NYSLHome?WCM_PORTLET=PC_7_SPTFTVI4188AC0IKIA9Q6K0QS0_WCM&WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/NYSL+Content+Library/NYSL+Internet+Site/Home/Instant+Scratch-Off+Games/%245+GAMES/%24500+Cash+Bonus/

I was thinking of them because the top prize is 100 or 500, not like thousands, meaning that there's easily way more top prizes, and I think it's actually somewhat likely to get 100 or 500 dollars from one of these.

But if anyone has actually bought these, I was wondering what their experience was.

brothadan the 500,000,000 extravaganza ticket was #46, and this isn't my first coin for $50. About a year ago I bought two of them, also at the end of the roll, and got a coin for $50 on each! I don't always get that lucky though...Sad Cheers

Boney, I've boughten a few of those one time (2-3) $500 cash bonus tickets and got a $20 winner.....I would imagine it's a good investment as your chances of hitting $500 are like 1 in 3,000. I tend to buy higher priced tickets though $10-$30 and have generally had good payouts buying these. I suggest you try the $30 win a mil a year for life, even if it's one. Chances of hitting $100 are 1 in 25! I can't even count how many times I've hit $100 on that ticket..

The last 2 million dollar prize in the $500,000,000 Extravaganza was sold this week, so here's a heads up to not play that one anymore. I've been trying my hand at the $30 mil a year for life ticket, but have not won more than $40 out of the 5 or 6 tickets I've played so far. Hurts.
