Wow—I am so glad we are able to have a great discussion about this because my Dad and I were talking about the frustration of not winning or missing winning by 1 digit all of a sudden. On 9/23/11, I played the Daily Derby, 6/1/11, my new grandson’s birthday and I’ve played it since he was born; the number that came in that date: 6/7/11; missed by 1 digit and winning $333.00. I only won $3.00 for one digit, which was: (6).  Although some of you may feel it is a waste of time and effort, I wrote to the CA Lottery complaining about this. I am fully aware the lottery is in business to make money but also they should be in the business in keeping existing, loyal lottery players happy to play each day and how: by allowing more winning tickets. Of course, we can’t win most of the time but also we can’t lose all the time as well. And, with Lottery Karma, the minute you don’t play your chosen lottery numbers is the very day they hit!!

Okay since this is the rant thread today i went in the store and called out about 5 pic3 st/bx numbers and being that the clerk is a friend of mine i was looking at some of the lottery books they had laying out well i was like hey give me a qp it was 778 which was in the book when i turned the page  i seen a number and i said oh yeah play 910 also well i go back to work she calls me when the draw comes out and says " you called it, 910 ha look on your slip and see if its on there" when i look the darn number isn't on there so u know now i'm pissed because that's 350.00 gone and i feel like she knew she didn't put it on there. Not only that another co-worker was in there and she played the same number i did and i know she hit off my number i gave her..... i just want to go kick her @$$ lol!

UGH!! It happened to me again—the “Lottery Gods” are being very mean all of a sudden!! Last night, I played 1-5-2 Daily 3 Evening S/B and the number that hit was: 0-5-2; again missing it by 1 digit and winning $516.00. I guess CA Lottery hasn’t received the letter I sent about this!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day and I will win back what I missed winning very soon!!

Tuesday Midday , qp,  234, Played it evening.  Wednesday, midday winning number, 2-3-4 str88888.

Didn't play before I went to work. 

I wasn't 1 number off, I had all 3 and didn't play.

1st line had 3 numbers off by 1

2nd line got 1 number right & had 3 numbers off by 1

3rd line got 1 number right 1 number off by 1 and 2 numbers off by 2... ok ok

Sorry to hear the "Lottery Gods" were mean to you also--this is "Lottery Karma" at its worst because the very day you didn't play your number, is the very day it hit,.  This is why I play the same number (152) twice a day-Daily 3. However, I still missed it by one digit.  How much did you miss winning?  GOOD LUCK NEXT TIME.
