In NY you have that on scratchers but not on a draw game that I am aware of. The $10 scrather is $5000 a week for life, $20 is 10k a week for life, $30 is 1 mill a year for life.

Here in AZ we have a Weekly Winnings draw game that is 1k a week for a year tax free or 52k lump sum tax free.

I like your scratchers better than ours though. Biggest prize on a scratcher is 625k (1 mill for 20 years option)

i think by life, they mean ... UP TO 20years. because they do not expect u to be alive after 20yrs... especially living off their weekly $$.. i think the 1000 for life ticket are like 2$ ?

I do not think the NY win for life scratchers have a maximum payout.  My understanding is that this is true for most states, though there may be a few that do cap your winnings.  The NY scratchers where you win per week all have a minimum payout that works out to just under 20 years:

        GameCostPrizeMinimum Payout
        Win For Life$2$1,000/wk$1,000,000
        Set For Life$10$5,000/wk$5,000,000
        Win For Life Spectacular$20$10,000/wk$10,000,000

There used to be scratchers that paid $500/wk (cost: $1) and $2000/wk (cost: $5); I do not remember if they had similiar minimum payouts.  There are two scratchers where you win per year ($100K and $1M, respectively); as far as I know, they do not have a minimum payout.

States do not win the lottery.  PEOPLE win the lottery.

Hmm... being a place like NY. i will most likely have to check those Convenient-Stores = Gas stations that are like in the middle of nowhere, where a lot of high ways and express ways are.. these type of tickets u never find in the Bodega ran by the Arab-Money type of fellas..  i heard the newsstand up there somewhere in the City have lucky pulls. but i will never know until  i waste my $ looking for the golden ticket. i have a gut feeling, perhaps going towards upstate driving, those Truck stops, u will find something there.... LI most definitely... Queens yes.. Manhattan, like Financial district area? yeh? maybe upper west side, chelsea, somewhere that is deserted and secluded. far i will go is. westchester ...
