I'm wondering if only using the last 3 bits would be better than using 4. Of course you would have 32 sets of numbers versus 16. If a Pick3 draws can be said to be of form P1 P2 P3 then The first two bits would specify P1 to be either 0-2, 2-5, 5-7, or 7-9. If your using only last 3 bits then P2 would range from 0-9 or essentially wild. P3 then would still have the same attribute of either being even or odd based on your decision. So if you forget the bits aspect of the system the user is really trying to determine if P1 is low or high and then how low or high. P2 is freebie and for P3 make the decision if they think its going to be even or odd. Anway just my thoughts you can ignore. Jimmy

So if I understand correctly your first choice is basically making a decision on whether position 1 is either 0-5 or 5-9. Your second choice further refines position 1 to either 0-2, 2-5, 5-7, or 7-9. In a previous post you posted your numbers as: "My 16 straight sets for NJ midday are: 525,541,557,573,589,605,621,637,653,669,685,701,717,733,749,765" The aspect that I don't necessarily like about the series of numbers is that they are +16 apart so inadvertently you are tying your 3rd digit to being either odd or even through your decision process. Thats just the nature of the beast of trying to map a base 2 system of 1024 numbers to a base 10 system of 1000 numbers. Jimmy Hi JimJ, Thanks for posting your ideas. My thinking is to NOT guess what Position 1 and Position 2 will be. I think I posted this a page or 2 back. I'm still going to use Postions 7 through 10. I know RL posted his Lexi program last year. For a 5/39 game you create 2 Pick 3 games 000 through 575 and 000 through 999. Of course you would have to answer 8 questions correctly. You would also have to wheel the front 3 and back 3 but using the Sums, E/O, L/H I think this could easier to win the jackpot than using a number of other filters. In place of trying to guess 1 of 4 sets I figured it may be easier to range the Sums. My sum range would be 11 through 17. In addition I could use the High/Low and Odd/Even filters.

Tonights NJ evening drawing was 418 BxxbxB BBxB I had BxxB for postions 7 through 10 Missed position 8 The Sum was 13 so it would fall between the 11 through 17 Sum range. 32 Total Sets This is not using the High/Low or Odd/Even filter.

I think in my posts I should have not used the words position1, position2, and position3 because that is the terminology you used and I was talking about something different and I think I am just confusing your thread which was not my intention. If you have time, could you do one for PA? Pennsylvania Excel file. Not sure if this will make a difference but Pennsylvania has a RNG Midday drawing and a real ball machine evening draw. https://www.box.com/s/0dtoo7rzxflfktupi2vr
