What is Wicca, It is the ritual use of magic using the elements, dieties, Gods, Goddesses, Special Tools, the cycle of the moon and the seasons. Witchcraft has been around for centuries, Hollywood, in order to make tons of money, put a bad spin on paganism. Yes, there are good witches and bad witches, as there are good people and bad people. Witchcraft has been unfairly associated with devilworshippers. Wicca came about in the early 50's, as a new twist on paganism. Acutally most Wiccans adhere to the ancient Celtic and Germanic beliefs and practices. The Celts are from Ireland, Scotland and Enland, Germanic of course is Germany and much of the surrounding region. Wiccans celebrate Holidays known as Sabbats. Some celebrate 4, some 6 some 8. You may be familiar with a few, May Eve.-Lammas-Halloween-the Equinoxes ans Soltices. The fall harvest and spring plant where times of the year when ritual was followed to the letter. Over the years, Wicca has morphed to include and incorporate Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Norse, Roman, Yoruban, African Voodun, Native American Pagan beliefs and practices. Many of the Gods and Goddessess used in spells, are from other cultures. Take Gaia, From the Greek, Mother of all You have her Roman Counterpart Terra Her Egyptian Counterpart Isis. Makes you wonder when so many Ancients have the different names for people who represent the same idea or belief. Many practice Witchcraft as a form of healing, in body, spirit and mind. The Wiccan Rede " And it harm none, do what Ye will" Basically, this is the Golden Rule " Do unto others, as you would have done unto you" Some Covens have whats known as the long Rede, it's their bylaws that they live by. Love, sharing and Compassion. Many Wiccans also belong to the traditional Religions, I myself am Catholic, I go to church and I Thank God and Jesus, they are first and foremost. Think of Wicca as getting closer to nature and personal spirituality, My favorite time of day is Twilight, watching the sunset with the moon rising, brings me peace. Everyone loves something magical, Horoscopes, palm reading, candles, fortune telling. Karma is what the Wiccan Rede is all about, everything on this planet has energy, trees, us, rocks, the Wiccan law says everthing you put out into the universe will come back to you times 10, You can choose to put out good or bad, it will get sent back to you. Most of the Wiccans I know frown upon casting spells that interfers with anothers free will. You won't find me casting love spells, or binding spells, only when someone has asked for help, and when writing spells, you have to be very specific in what you ask, more on that later. I only preformed in a Coven once, it was for a sick boy, the parents asked for a healing prayer, we complied, he is now a grown man with kids of his own. I like to think the positive energy we sent out helped. In Wicca, we use the Elements along with sympathic magik, more on that later. So would you like to be a Witch ? Do you like to meditate ? Do you like to work in soil, have a beautiful garden? Do you like to star gaze, and follow the moon? Is preparing your family meals a wonderful ritual ? Would you like to improve your concentration and bring your intutions to a higher plane? I know some psychics, who use Wicca to improve their abilities and to protect themselves. I also know a woman who uses Wicca, to reduce her psychic ability, she is whats known as a feeler, it would drive her crazy, she could tell what kinds of emotions were coming off a person and it got to the point where just going shopping was turmoil. She now controls this by meditation, grounding and centering, she has learned to put up a wall to keep emotional baggage at bay. Here are your treasures 247 259 058 409 618

hey now Sully, i just read through ur post and it is quite a read. what are the 5 tides? and are the treasures numbers that change everyday? thanks Hi Ducksafloat, the 5 tides are different phases in the moon cycle, in magik, you preform certain spells or charms during those times, also esbats are associated with the moon. There is much material to cover, so I will lay the ground work layer by layer, can't have someone casting spells without knowing how to consecrate their tools. Thanks so much, Sully
