Well. Its over. They are all scratched and the dust has settled. I am not overly thrilled with the outcome, but it could have gone much worse. That $1,000 winner was the only one of that amount. Nothing larger appeared. So... In all of the tickets/books the breakdown of winners goes something like this. +/- ...
$1,000x1
$500x1
$200x2
$100x18
$50x 13
$40x15
$30x10
$25 and $20 = TONS. I dont even know how many.
Total amount spent. $19,000
Total return - $13,185
Net loss - -$5815
Now, when I factor in writing off all of the losers against my taxes, I have......
Amount in losers $10,700
Amount saved on tax write offs - $4,237
TOTAL NET LOSS - -$1,578.
Not bad at all considering how much I put into this. I lost $1500 overall for over 700 chances at 3 million bucks. I can live with that and would do it again if the tickets were condensed into a small area again.
edit** I completely forgot about adding the losers from the first round of tickets that I had cashed in at Niki Food store. I added the $ won, but did not just factor in all of those losers. When I add those in, I have an ADDITIONAL tax savings of $950.
So, my actual net loss is only -$628!!!! wow.
