Thanks, CaLady!!!
<snip>... so close, but so far....
I'm concentrating (part of my strategy) on a band of 10 box numbers that haven't shown in (now) 63 consecutive non-double plays:
168, 169, 178, 179, 189, 235, 236, 237, 238, 239
That's fully 8% of the non-double pool. Geez, within 10 (heck, 5?!) more non-double plays, I mean, come on....
Gotta go out and watch the fireworks now—happy 4th everyone!!!

... I said that above on July 4th; then, after it broke with 732 on July 8th, I played (in part) the 189 because (as I said on July 15) a band of numbers that take so long to play, "bounce back rather quickly after being played once" (189 came up on 7/15) And look at what just happened - in the space of four plays, three more appear from this same band!! (327, 719, and today's repeat of 981).
A long 63 plays out, results in a whole pile-on of catch-ups. There's probably a secret embedded here to how this game should be played... just wish I understood it....

(Addendum to my post above: Just to be completely anal, it was actually more than 63 consecutive double-plays - somewhere between 65 and 70.)
Yes, the 68 double box looks very good to me, too, Ibgamer - so does the 64 and 60. But I'm in a quandary, because some of my own calculations say that those can't be played; at least not before another double's played first. But geez, how many times have I been wrong on this so far?...
