This is what I call a "sync" workup. "Sync" is short for Synchronization. The idea is dead simple. We are looking for pairs of straight numbers that follow each other around in the history of the lottery. In the above example, my program found that the number 502 twice fell exactly 17 days after 170. So, the 170 is sort of a "trigger event" that we are looking for which we hope will predict that 502 will fall 17 days later. And that's why the location of the 170 is so important because it's what we we use to align the columns of numbers.
There's more to it, of course. I want to know whether the most-recent of these syncs happened the last time the numbers showed. Another thing I do is to compare to see if the number appears in the Date Workup and finally I look at what the Back-Check Workup for that number looks like (this is where the one-hop back-check that I mentioned earlier comes into play). When I find a number that looks pretty good, I do a chart (like the above one) by hand so that I can look at it closely to make sure that it looks like something I would wager my money on before I recommend that anybody else wager their money on it. When I did all this on the 502 workup, it was all so nice and pretty that I decided to post it up so that other folks could see it.
Follow-Up: The 502 did not fall in the Day Draw (rats!) so I went back and looked at the extended followers workup for the actual Day Draw number, 630. Since 502 is not an extended follower of 630, the workup for 502 lost a lot of its luster and I'm not recommending it for the Night Draw. That's a great example of how what I do looks like.
Hope this helps!

Do you think that the system might be thrown off because that 055 was drawn and not 502? I know that we still have until tonight, I was just thinking.

Is this sort of like followers?
Yes, it's like followers, but there are two differences. The leader - follower pairs are days apart. And there is a little bit of "wiggle room" because the method counts days not draws. So, for example, it would count this :
07/13/2016,648,766
07/14/2016,514,043
07/15/2016,465,656
07/16/2016,446,736
07/17/2016,046,150the same as this:
10/23/2007,766,862
10/24/2007,560,363
10/25/2007,867,177
10/26/2007,461,753
10/27/2007,046,886because both are 4 days apart even though they are not exactly the same number of draws apart. (Example taken from today's Virginia workup)
My program also counts multiple hits, like this example taken from the North Carolina numbers:
This is NOW | That was THEN
05/18/2017 Daytime 392 Evening 559 | 04/13/2016 Daytime 796 Evening 392 - 392
05/19/2017 Daytime 288 Evening 936 | 04/14/2016 Daytime 909 Evening 254
05/20/2017 Daytime 302 Evening 714 | 04/15/2016 Daytime 695 Evening 272

Also, once in a while we see examples where the synchronizations stack up over time such as this example from the Virginia numbers:

So yes, these are leader-follower pairs at a remote, with a little bit of wiggle-room in counting how far apart they are. I throw them in the mix with my other workups as part of the process of reducing the numbers I play down to one or two or sometimes none.

Yes, it's like followers, but there are two differences. The leader - follower pairs are days apart. And there is a little bit of "wiggle room" because the method counts days not draws. So, for example, it would count this :
07/13/2016,648,766
07/14/2016,514,043
07/15/2016,465,656
07/16/2016,446,736
07/17/2016,046,150the same as this:
10/23/2007,766,862
10/24/2007,560,363
10/25/2007,867,177
10/26/2007,461,753
10/27/2007,046,886because both are 4 days apart even though they are not exactly the same number of draws apart. (Example taken from today's Virginia workup)
My program also counts multiple hits, like this example taken from the North Carolina numbers:
This is NOW | That was THEN

I see what you're doing but my question about followers is "Are numbers really following each other or do they just appear to be following?" I love the idea of your "synching". It would be wonderful if numbers showed up like this but if you look at all of the past drawings with 502 and 170 this only occurred a couple of times as shown in your example. I'm anxiously awaiting to see if it happens again but in the meantime I wonder if you've ever thought about this...
What are the 8 hottest all time combos in VA? Right now they are 074,113,183,604,793,797,168,171.
Let's say we punch in your 170 with 502 and all of these. Isn't it interesting that one of the above numbers "hit" much sooner than 502 all within less than a month? What is this telling you?
