  Actor Kirstie Alley, known for her role in the sitcom “Cheers,” has died after a recent diagnosis of cancer, her family said in a

  statement Monday. She was 71.

  I thought about Kirstie the other day, not realizing that she had cancer. And then read today that she died!

  My brother had cancer and died in February. I have good memories of him, as well.
