  "For the calendar year 2024, the annual exclusion for gifts has been increased to $18,000, up from $17,000 in 2023. This means that you can gift up to $18,000 to an individual in 2024 without facing gift tax implications. Spouses can jointly gift up to $36,000 per recipient without triggering gift tax. "
