This is quite a list of questions; I will try and respond to each and hopefully help a soul out there.
Q. How do you deal with lottery losses?
Ans. I treat the lottery the same way I treat my house, car, property etc. insurance. I pay for the insurance so that in case something happens, say to my car, the insurance will cater for it. I know very well that there is a high possibility that nothing will happen to my property, but I still pay for the insurance. I don’t consider the insurance premiums a loss, they are a cushion in the event of a calamity. The lottery cost is not a loss to me, it’s an insurance that may or may not come to pass.
Q. Do you think perseverance is important to be successful in the lottery?
Ans. No, perseverance is not key to winning. Am sure you’ve heard of people who won a jackpot with the first lottery purchase – they have a name for that – beginners’ luck. Then there is the rest of us who have been playing for 40 odds years – you know the story.
Q. What are the biggest challenges you face when playing the lottery?
Ans. I don’t face any challenges – no one should face any challenges playing the lottery. If you face any challenge, you shouldn’t be playing at all.
Q. Do you believe that luck really exists in the lottery?
Ans. Winning the lottery for me is a 100% factor of luck – nothing more nothing less.
Q. Has anyone had success using analysis of past results to predict future numbers?
Ans. Not me, see previous response on luck. I am a firm believer of Quick Picks.
Q. How can I use probability theory to increase my chances of winning?
Ans. I don’t know how you can do that. See previous response on luck.
Q. What are the pros and cons of using betting systems like Fibonacci or Martingale?
Ans. I ma not conversant with those systems.
Q. Is it possible to use dreams or intuition to choose lottery numbers?
Ans. Yes, it is it possible to do that, though I have never done that myself.
Q. Is there any relationship between important dates (birthdays, anniversaries) and the numbers drawn?
Ans. No, there is no relationship between important dates (birthdays, anniversaries) and the numbers drawn. It’s the mind playing tricks on people. The lottery doesn’t know its your birthday, it’s just a coincidence.
Q. What are your criteria for choosing lottery numbers?
Ans. I always go for quick picks, I try to avoid spending both money and time on the process.
Q. Do you use any specific strategy for multiple bets?
Ans. No I don’t. 99% of the time I get one ticket for each drawing.
Q. How do you manage your bankroll (maximum bet) when playing the lottery?
Ans. I buy one ticket per draw, I add the PP and Multiplier. I have a main job and a side gig. I use the side gig job to purchase my tickets. I make between $700 and $1,200 a week on the side gig, and I spend $32 a week on lottery tickets and invest the rest.
Q. What are your most common mistakes when playing the lottery and how do you avoid them?
Ans. The temptation to buy more tickets to increase my odds of winning. The temptation to see patterns in past drawings when there is none. I remind myself that this is all random and 100% based on luck.
Q. What advice would you give to someone starting to play the lottery?
Ans. Always view the lottery as a form of entertainment, it’s not an investment and always, always, always spend what you can afford. As with all forms of gambling, don’t try to recover your “loses” and most importantly, if it ceases to be fun, know that its time to hang your lottery boots.
