I think one of the best paper systems is power trails do a search on the lotto post and you will find reference to it. With this system you only need to play 5 pick 4 numbers based on your amount of history you use. The power trails system recommends 10 past draws at least. Keep in mind that you can back test and vary the amount of draws used for the hits. Also you can determine the path of the number you wish to play you don't have to go by the systems path. The key to all the paths is in the history (amount of used numbers that previously hit) some people on the lotto post say this system is prone to errors because of doubles and triples and quads. I say if a number is hot because it hits often then that should be in your number selection or replace it with the second hottest number.
Look at your states history real good see if numbers have been showing up in every draw or every other draw. Write the numbers down you think are going to hit next to your history do you see a pattern if you don't you picked the wrong numbers or maybe you see three numbers. When the number comes out in the next draw. look at it along side of the previous history and the number you selected. When you play your picks you will now see where you went with your selection. If you picked 2 or three of the winning numbers your on the right track. This isn't going to work for every single draw but it will for many of the coming draws. The trick is to find the fourth winning number while keeping your out of pocket money to a minimum. I know this is long winded but there is a method to the madness.
You see a lot of players are stuck playing loosing numbers like myself I have often fallen into the trap. You really need to focus on your picks along side of the history. try to play at least 2 or 3 pick 4 numbers that never hit before and 2 pick 4 numbers that are hot or have hit in the past. I'm getting 3 out of 4 numbers right using this method almost every draw. And need to practice what I am saying myself. The only fault with this Power Trails system is it doesn't tell you if there going to be a double, triple, or quad hit. This is something you have to have an instinct for. If your state is getting a lot of doubles you have to decide whether to play them or not or stick with a 4 straight. Lastly don't play all hot numbers for every play cold number or numbers that haven't hit are due to hit so you need to pick a 4 digit number to play that has 2 cold 1 luke warm and 1 hot.
