Well give me a tin hat, but I'm pretty convinced that the poisoned pet food from China was just a test or a probe, to see if they could get such things into our system and on our store shelves, and they did.

Just to clarify - when I said "I still bought the cheap stuff" I meant the "Made in America" cheap stuff. Freeman was a company that never tortured animals in its laboratories and didn't stop just because it was cool. Beauty Without Cruelty was one I used to use, but I can't find their products anywhere except online and it's a little out of my budget right now. As I wrote before, I began using very inexpensive products on my hair like White Rain and I can't tell the difference from the expensive shampoo from the salon. So the first thing I used to look for was "not tested on animals" and the now it's going to be "made in the USA" :-)... [ More ]

SlingKing, that's the ticket! Spend an extra buck for the USA brand whenever possible. The USA is like a giant corporation and all of us are shareholders. When we buy products from our own company we enhance its value and all of us benefit.

I call it smart! I won't buy alot of products just because of where it came from. Especially consumables. Was looking at garlic the other day and the cheapest stuff they had (already processed) was "MADE IN CHINA" I spent the extra buck and purchased the made in USA brand.
